Thanks for this. I’ve loved Goodbye Horses since I first saw Silence of the Lambs when it first came out. I introduced my son to the movie the other night and the song came on again. Again it reminded me of what a great song it is and what a special voice. Such a shame there was not more music and she didn’t get a chance to showcase her talent and develop. Sad.

The healthy Syd Barrett was very creative. He wrote 52 songs. Syd and Pink Floyd went well together. Unfortunately, Syd lived in a bad shared flat!!! He took LSD several times a week. No brain can handle that!! Syd's second solo album is better than Pink Floyd's albums 2, 3 and 4. Nobody knows exactly how Syd lived from 1975 to 2006 ??? The last documentary showed nothing new!!! No new information !!! How long did Syd battle his drug addiction?? Was Syd in a psychiatric hospital??? What illness did Syd have??? Why did he live so isolated??? What was Syd Barrett like as a person??? He painted pictures and then burned them in his garden.. Could he or did he not want to play music anymore??? I don't know if he ever found redemption or peace for his soul???

Absolutely better than 95 percent of the drivel that emerged from 1981 through to their breakup. I met Television through Scott Krause and Jim Jones from Pere Ubu, who "adopted" me from 1977 through 1985 when things started to go south. NNB are not a conglomerate of Television and Pere Ubu; there are some parallels but definitely a band who stood apart from the 'hip/new wave' poseurs but deserved so much better.😢

Die Aufnahmen sind von 1965 . Vielleicht sogar noch vorher. Sie spielten ja vorher Blus. Syd hat schon vor seiner Zeit bei Pink Floyd hin und wieder einen Joint geraucht. Das sagt Nick Mason in seinem Buch. Eine traurige Geschichte. Syd war ein talentierter begabter junger Mann. Leider hatte er die falschen Freunde gehabt.

The outlaw country western swing jazz scene in the 1940s was total rebellion and a lifestyle. It was covered up in the 1950s, repackaged sold as rockabilly - rock n roll which absolutely spawned punk rock. My Grandfather's band; Lucky White and His Dude Ranch Playboys was one of the those bands. At 23 years old with a 19 year old Leodie Jackson their 1946 sound recording of THAT NAGGIN WIFE OF MINE was released on Courtney records. It was total punk rock in that the lyrics were very risqué and disparaging. It got them banned from the Grand Ole Opry 78 years ago. In 1958 Lucky had a mohawk. He was forced to wear his cowboy hat on stage or he wouldn't be allowed to perform and get paid.

This is the soundboard tracks I cut from a dutch radio show called Nighttrain that aired a few songs from this show at Concertgebouw in Amsterdam I believe it was. I have a few more tracks from this show along with the whole show from an audience recording (which is obviously in lesser quality)

Syd hat Pink Floyd gegründet und bekanntgemacht. Mit 22 Jahren wurde er rausgeschmissen. Seine schlechte Zeit hat mit seiner Wohngemeinschaft angefangen in der Syd gelebt hat. Er hat zuviel LSD genommen. Syd hatte einen Gehirnschaden erlitten. Erstaunlich dass er noch 2 Soloplatten gemacht hat. Es ist eine echte Tragödie für Syd und seine Familie. Mit 24 Jahren war Syd ein kranker Mensch. Er ist als Maler und Musiker gescheitert. Mich interessiert wie Syd mit seiner Krankheit gelebt hat. ????? Ich hoffe er hat irgendwie seinen Frieden gefunden ???
