Why are you concerned that fish isnt there at the beginning of the video?
It is very interesting to see this type of "area" fishing. In our area everything all access is free/wild and the winters are bitterly cold. This is similar to our late Fall fishing for steelhead and salmon.
Congratulations for that small fish who saved the day. But big thank you for sharing such pretty scenry and natures. it was a really nice watching experience :)
Kiska Island is near the middle of the Aleutian Islands, which separate the Bering Sea and the North Pacific. There’s a small lake there that’s just a few feet (a couple of meters) above high tide. The stream that flows from it to the harbor is probably 15-20 yards/meters long. I have no idea how Dolly Varden got there, but they just went crazy for Mepps spinners!

Another great video............I went to the Hokigawa in April and had couple of fish but nothing big.........I was fly fishing..........maybe try again soon.
Thank you for watching and comment! I think the water temperature is high now, so I think it's better to have a place with a fast flow. Hokigawa had a large rainbow trout in a fast flowing place (a little upstream of "Ryuka Falls") and there is a parking lot at Ryuka Falls, so you can enter the river from there.

Thank you for watching! The fishing point of Hoki River is kind of hard to understand place. If your car has navigation, you can set "Shiobara Green Village" to reach the fishing point on the Hoki River. For the route to "Shiobara Green Village", take the Tohoku Expressway toward Sendai and get off at the "Nishinasuno Interchange". It takes about 30 minutes from Nishinasuno Interchange to Shiobara Green Village. There are many fly fishing fans on the Hoki River, so I'm sure you will be blessed with good a catch. Please enjoy yourself!
