Boats DO float 😅
Moved here from NJ worse move i ever did not what they all talk about no deal here cost is rising fast worse than NJ
Nice to know you art from New Holland, my first Husband grew up there. I grew up in Lancaster city, but have lived in East Lampeter Twp. for 38 years, along the Old Philadelphia Pike, Bridgeport area, location location location. Never moving again I am really close to everything, grocery store, pharmacy, Wine and Spirits, gas stations, route 30, Fire Department, Police, State Police, Ambulance, Lgh, several restaurants, banks, shopping, etc., all within three miles or less. Oh, and Greenfield Industrial Park.
If you're use to a big or busy city that does not die down , this place is the total opposite and places close pretty earlier.
I grew up in Lancaster County, I still live here I will soon be moving out of this State. None of what they said is true, just because it's in magazines. 1 Hospitals and warehouses are popping up everywhere taking away from the farmland. 2 taxes keep going up pushing out locals due to it because the big warehouses are getting tax breaks and not employing nearly as many people as they claim. 3 the schools are ran by fools couldn't budget a dollar correctly. 4 your taxes will NEVER go where your local politicians say they will. 5 the roads State or local are horrible and the cost of living is going up quite fast in our area.
Hello Is Lancaster Pa a safe place to live or is it like Harrisburg pa with very high crime thanks all the best
Lancaster is a boring .. bad pothole infested .. .. cameras on every corner.. so you are being monitored by some weird strangers .. the youth have nothing to do in the city .. the police department is as racist as there is .. horse 💩 poop every where on the road.. the state allows the Amish to practice a fake religion... They love and abuse there White privilege here .... The only good thing in Lancaster is the jobs... But you can't grow at your work place because like I said they protect there White privilege here .. .. Lancaster is a dead end .. living here in Lancaster you will witness . That we do live in two different Americas .. I remember a few years ago they allowed the kkk to march in down town Lancaster. Says a lot about this city right .
What time do bars close?
are there many mosquitoes? thanks!
Yes
You nailed it! I would add one more negative though and that is not to have high expectations of “fitting in” right away. Lancastrians tend to keep to themselves and it can be challenging to break through..(even for those of us who have lived here our whole life). I would add one more positive and that is Lancaster being central to the beach, any of the major big cities, and the mountains! Great hiking and biking trails too❤. I personally feel blessed to live here and the outsiders have brought in balance , art, and amazing cuisine!
Do you help folks with rentals? I'm leaning towards moving to Lancaster, and I'm a renter type of person. Hope this message finds you well this Holiday season, Mr. C
Nice work!!!
And you're going to looooooove the high property and real estate taxes!!!
Not to bash the 7 cause that's what I rep but it's not that great once you go outside of downtown towards the mission or the prison.
This was helpful, thank you. We are a mixed race family, we have lived in Philly for so long and are ready for a smaller/ less chaotic life. We are seeing three houses tomorrow!
We are near Pittsburg are by way of Cali. Looking to buy in Lancaster. We to are a mixed family. If you’ve moved there how’s the crime, culture, and city ? Is it diverse?
What about internet?
My wife and I fell in love with Lancaster the more we traveled to there back over since we’ll it’s been 20 years. We said one of these day’s Will move out here.my wife will be starting her new RN job next month.she’ll be traveling back and forth for now. Doing her 3 /12 hr shift. We said Weill probably start out renting for a while.to see where we want to buy.her job will be in Columbia.
Can you rent in the Community homes? Or rent to own?
We’ve been going to Lancaster over 20 years-. And we just feel in love with the there beautiful country for one thing. We usually go out there 2 to 3 times a year. Always in the fall . My wife and I come out in October.since . Now my wife finally looked for a RN job and she starts in September.
My wife will be starting a new RN job in Columbia next month. She’ll be doing 3 12?hr shift then traveling back a 3 hr drive home. We will be looking at a rental home to start out move probably next June. Where going look probably only 25 minutes away Columbia.
Thanks for sharing. If the smell of cows and chickens is the worst thing about living here, that is breeze compared to busy traffic pollution.
That's a point in your favour being alcohol controlled. I'm impressed. Thanks for your vlog.
The fact that Pennsylvania has state controlled liquor stores does not mean that Pennsylvanians don't drink, we do and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is the largest wholesale buyer of liquor in the US. In fact Lancaster City used to have a distinction of having one church and three bars on every street.😂
Your CONS made me laugh. Fewer drunks on the road at night? That's a con? Lol
Senior living homes?
Hi Matty, yes! Lancaster has very good senior living homes and is one of the most desirable locations for retirement in the US. If you'd like to have a conversation specific to your needs, please don't hesitate to give us a call at 717-208-8195.
VA hospital?
Thank you guys for pronouncing Lancaster properly. I always get irritated by people saying Lan Caster. It's PA, not CA. I have a neighbor here in VA who graduated from Manheim Township in 1981. I graduated from Pequea Valley in 1981. I'm looking forward to you doing a piece on schools since PV has always been looked down upon. I actually went to Whitmer Heights for middle school. That was in the CV district back in the 70s. It's in Smoketown, now a blind school, I think. Anyways, I enjoy your videos
😂😂😂 I lived in LAN caster CA so yeah it’s a totally different pronunciation
The good? I was born and raised there. ❤️. The bad? The traffic, the people who move here from other states, New York, New Jersey, which raised the prices of everything. Oh! The traffic! 😡
Me too Sandra!
This is exactly what happened to Vermont.

You probably want to do another video. We missed every closet, ever longshot, couldn't see the entire room or space one time!
Hi Cary, this video is in 360 degree format. You have the ability to pause the video, drag the view around to see all aspects of each room. Another option is to move your phone around and you will be able to see the different details. Alternatively, if you have a VR headset with access to RUclips VR, you can have the full VR experience. Thanks!
I move here from NJ good and bad I moved to millersville taxes are very high paying same as NJ poor government body running this town they do nothing with so many issues here
Public workers here make the same or a little less than NJ, and they get a PA state pension, which makes taxes higher per $1000 house value. I owned a home in Tamaqua and paid the same taxes as my NJ home which was valued at 5 times as much.
Is there a Korean restaurant In Lancaster?
I don’t quite agree with our allopathic healthcare, but I do think because we have such a high population of amish and they tend to follow older traditional/non-allopathic means of health care, it is easier to access this type of care in Lancaster!
very interesting and will be back
too crowded
Lancaster is a dump and headed downhill. Lancaster of 40 yrs. ago was a beautiful place.
Yeah, but are there any Puerto Ricans?
Yes
I like to rent a home
We are planning to move late next year, is it too early to shop around for a house?
Currently living in Bethlehem ,and am seriously considering moving to Lancaster , first I need to visit though LOL .
"You will be corrected" 🤣 I personally won't correct you, but it's like wearing a shirt that reads, I'm not a Local. (And it's okay if your not)
Recently, I posted a new review about a restaurant here in Lancaster, PA, USA, named 'The Imperial'. Please make time to read this extensive and in-depth review, at your convenience. We just had lunch at The Imperial on Friday. It is only a block from our EXP Realty branch office! 😁 Chuck's favorite dish is their sirloin steak and Janet loves a salad with salmon. 🤤
And Lancaster County is well known that is the most boring place in the entire country And surprise me how the hell they expecting tourists if every place is closing at 8pm There is no life here
Well, that hasn't been our experience with Lancaster and we've never heard of Lancaster being the "most boring place" in the entire country.
I've lived in Lancaster for 42 years and there's always something to do. Sundays everything closes early for obvious reasons.
You've never been to Lebanon county
I have been living for here for a decade. It changed a lot, It's not boring. What other cities has that Lancaster don't have? I moved to beautiful Miami and right back to Lancaster after two years. It's much better here. Job pays a lot better here in Lancaster.
Good information. My wife and I are from southwestern Connecticut and love the Lancaster/Gettysburg area. We are retirement age and are thinking of moving to either PA or NH, as CT is not a tax friendly state for retired people. I know PA does not tax Social Security (neither does NH) but a little more focus on retirement advantages in Lancaster/PA may be helpful.
I will fit rift in I'm Puerto Rican
Moving there in a few months from Cali … wife is Pierrot rican. Is there a lot of Spanish oeople there ?
@@numbersisthename5772 absolutely! There is a large Hispanic community here in Lancaster.
@@numbersisthename5772 do you like it?
My wife and I fall in the with Lancaster because of the it’s so beautiful and quite. And of course we love country. It’s so much better then we’re live now.we go to Lancaster almost 2 to 3 times a year.like the summer in always the fall.we’re coming this October .
It's not all that great moved here from NJ very disapointed
@@dougowens6180 we love there country so much we’ve been going there since 2002. Why don’t you like it? The only reason we we’re not moving there because it’s expensive. We hear
And we usually come out to Lancaster at least 2 or 3 times a year. Eaither in summer but always in the fall.
My wife and I have so many questions for you. We don’t know to begin.first my wife and I have been going to out Lancaster over16 years now like last year we took our 17 year old probably three times and we took her in the fall.that was always our favorite time there.and my wife and I are coming to Lancaster this October again.but every time we came out .the more we just fell in love with the country and the beauty of Lancaster.so every time we going back on the crazy turn pike. We kept saying to each other do you see us living out some day?and we always said yes.so here we are planning talk about moving to Lancaster next year.we we’re thinking at first renting for a couple of year’s. But where not sure what is the best path for us to take. We’ve been renting from my parents over 20 year’s now. And my wife is in nursing.
