    It’d be good if it was English, but still, straight razors are it! I’ve wanted one forever. Now skin sags some where I don’t know if it’d be good??

    • @horizondrive2039
      @horizondrive2039 3 месяца назад

      You aren't getting any younger, might as well give one a try. Sagging skin isn't a problem, you'll just have to stretch your skin when shaving. There are loads of videos teaching how to straight razor shave. Check out "Greg Gallant." "Sustainashave." "Bill M." "Sean Staplefeld." "Shave&Butcher." "The Cajun Blade." and "dapper shaves."

    Fun stuff. It seems that razor mass-production hasn't changed much since the 1920's. What's amazing it that they are not much more expensive today, even though total production has tumbled much since those days. In the 1920's, good German made daily-shavers for the common man were in the $70--90 range, using the 2019 value of a USD or a day or two of average gross pay of a city-dweller's 10 hr days. A daily-shaver Dovo of today, with better fit and finish, is not too much more that that.

    J'ai un Thier Issard edition limitée 6/8, lame creuse et sonnante. Je l'ai commandé par correspondance pour $400. Après 6 mois le fil du rasoir ne coupait plus bien. J'ai acheté les pierres suivantes: 2000 Chosera, 6000 glass ceramic Shapton et 12000 naniwa. J'ai aussi une plaque diamantée 1200 pour planifier les pierres. Malheureusement après plus de un an et demi de tentative et d'apprentissage en ligne en changeant au moins 10 fois ma technique je n'arrive pas à rendre le Thier issard coupant. Je commence à croire que ce rasoir Thier Issard ne peut être aiguisé avec les pierres ci dessus. C'est à peine si ça coupe 1 ou 2 poils sur le bras avec grande diffifulté. Très déçu par mon achat de ce rasoir et de ces pierres.
