I dunno, the ending where you get to "ride of into the sunset" with your new Nomad family is actually pretty dope IMHO. Sure you face the potential of death in 6 months, but at least you'll be happy and loved in that time. Also, who's to say a cure won't avail itself in that time? Heck, even the Night City Legend Ending could be described as "somewhat good"-especially if you romanced Kerry or River. Again, if you ignore the whole "six months to live" thing.

I know all about mourning and the effects it has on the brain, but here's what's so wrong: he was very worried about Micah being hanged, but showed no regard whatsoever for John. A man that'd been with them six months over everyone else who'd been with him for 20 or more years. Replaying it makes you see the signs very early, like how he gets a little bit snappy at Hosea in Chapter 1.

Dutch is a classic narcissistic leader. Narcissists cannot feel empathy and they cannot feel true love for anything. His love for his gang was built on a fragile egocentricity of his grandiose view of himself as an amazing intelligent leader, there was no true care for anyone other than himself.

incase you havent figured it out, Dutch was pretty much full of shit by the time you get to chapter 3. he had no intentions of saving Arthur or John. he got a little sad when members of the gang died but he moves on really quick.

I never considered Dutch a changed man. Honestly, I do think he's somewhat worse than Micah. Dutch tries to act like he's this great guy who is too good for the world. Even from Colter before he went "crazy", he reminds me of manipulators from my own childhood. He knows how to make you feel like garbage. You don't do something he wants, he would pull at your strings until you either do so or snap. And if that isn't enough, he'll manipulate people close to you and try to turn them against you. Micah's a monster, but he admits who he is and doesn't pretend to be this grand standing guy. He's a survivor. He would have to be brought down to the lowest of the dumps and rebuilt from the ground up. JAVIER and BILL (before RDR1 at least) are more redeemable than Dutch. People are like Hosea could have reasoned with Dutch in Beaver Hollow, but let's face it, Dutch treated Hosea badly in Colter. Javier treated Tilly nicely and Bill held affection in his heart for Cain. Javier and Bill is far more tragic than Dutch because I actually do think Arthur and/or John could redeem them. Dutch would want to change on HIS terms until almost the very end. And I'm glad that there are many people pointing that out in either the fanfiction worlds or when it comes to the topic.

Dutch was truly in over his head for the entire length of the story. He was way too inflexible, both in his methods and his ideals, a taste of which you can get early on when he and Lenny are debating some author back at camp. It's tough to tell whether his actions later in the story were the results of Micah-esque narcissism, or instead his attempts at retaining control over what was going on around them. The truth is probably somewhere in the middle.

You can really feel the intensity.

I realized who the stalker was when she introduced herself as "Green Cloud" and performed a non-lethal takedown when she was busy taking a selfie with Blue Moon. GC even suspiciously looked back at me twice when setting up the selfie. This might be my favorite Side Job.

If you slowly press the right trigger and hold it half way, you’ll reach for your gun and activate dead eye with a lot of time to mark your targets, helpful for a situation like this so you don’t even have to open your weapon wheel.
