Sir, with all the moisture, would you consider that plastic/wood composite as a substitute for the wood 2x4's?
So how much does that post end up costing with all those screws? Crazy
That’s what vynal products give you.
those sprinkers dont just go on do they? you say its soaking the roof but its only for emergencys
Sounds preventative
What wil you replace it with?
I love recycled, upcycled, construction. I find furniture on the side of the road, free, and take it home and redo the finish.
This gave me a final destination vision, pretty cool.
Its pronounced "ass-valt" not "ash-valt" there is no h. It's not made of ash.
Nobody cares
I was told the issue with netal roof it the leaking of the screw for secrurement through the years. Like dryrotting of the gel for waterproofing on screws
@@ruwi-senpai1659 the neoprene washers they use now last for decades if installed properly
Good grief! Is that a mini door, or how tall are you 😅🎉??
@@HighHolyOne it's the angle it's filmed on 😅😅
I think you're also showing how much materials have improved over a relatively short time. Thanks for these videos. I learn a lot from you fellows.
@@HighHolyOne we're glad that they're helpful!
the fuck is that all cut up metal flashing? thanks for the video
@@aragustin it's a curve. You have to cut it to get around the curve
@@farrowbuilt what for? hehehe ofc its some kind of an arch
@@aragustin how would you make straight J-trim go around a curve?
@@farrowbuilt No clue I don't know why one would bend this J trim. what's the purpose of it? I'll Google it as well jejejeje, is it for the mud?
🔥🔥🔥
Adjust the handles way down so you don't have to lift your shoulders way up much easier buddy
Why do people not understand that you need to cut those tabs out of the drain after the concrete is set. Those tabs are just in place to hold the drain open at a fixed gap.
Thank you. Ive never seen snow stops before. Ive lived in snowy climates, and I always thought the goal was to get the snow off the roof due to weight. I had not considered that there could be damage to the various stacks.
It's also a safety hazard, so places usually just put them over doors. The buildings are engineered for the snow load so you want it to melt slow, and not come down on someone.
@@justinh5125 Yes, Sir, plus it appears that the gap allows snow to melt and drain away from the bottom too, which to my way of thinking is a bonus.
That red looks great. After living in the US South for many years, we knew that red cars were particularly susceptlible to sun fading. Is this not a problem in BC? Guessing it's not.
@@HighHolyOne 40year warranty on the paint
Why would you keep drilling? It was good you just stripped it
@@expressm1753 no it wasn't really
That looks like it was a fun project to take on.i hope it went well and you made a few bucks 👍
@@stilettoswinger7404 good fun for sure!
I dont know where you from but maybe it was poured in cold weather with out proper heat
Same in concrete foundation around here. To much lye or something I was told
Wrong proportions and gravel
Maybe not enough cement in the mix?
Dry pour
Win the neighbor over with a gift, too easy, communication is key ,box of beers always works in NZ or OZTRALIA
I'm a handyman brother and have my truck and all my tools... I wanna come work for you're company 👍
For all you old codgers out there you have to remember we were all young once and we didnt know much and we wanted to work to earn money so we could afford stuff. Young people get discouraged because most of the time everything they hear from a lot of older people is negative so they dont want to work with them so they go through the motions to appear like theyre doing something. Try teaching youngsters and being kind but firm and you'll get a lot bettet results from them.
@@benreid7567 truth!
He said the older people! If your older and doing insulation you probably have medical, physical, mental, or substance issues just going day by day.
@@CecilSavage-iq9zq Don't worry mate, a lot of oilfield hands come with more baggage than an Airbus A380-800.
I bought one of those power screed and used it one time just to learn how to run one, but wish i could use it more.
What kind of tops are you using on screw piles for post frame buildings?
@@andreyhorobets7351 engineered post saddles. Welded on usually.
So you don’t want them on the form ??
Not with a vibe screed!
4 years and dozens of no show appointments later i only had 2 visits from a contractor. Why is it so difficult?
Lmao @ turning off all the comments on your other shorts so people can’t criticize you🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
The comments aren't turned off on anything.
PC principle from south park doing construction?
😅😅
Where y'all located?
Based out of Enderby BC
We build all over BC
When I built my building I did as you did but was also required to put Styrofoam around building 1foot deep and 1foot out. Underneath that I buried galvanized chicken fencing at 2 feet out from building. This completely annoys ground hogs skunks or any other critters who would dig under your slab. After 10 years no problems.
Awesome!
If you work in south eastern BC please email for a project discussion for April 2025. I'm on my netizen account, but i'm self doxxed.
What's your email address?

Why on earth do you have English text on the screen. I can't watch videos like this, even though I am interested in the topic.
What language would you prefer?
@@farrowbuilt you are speaking English in the video, therefore no need is present to display the same langue on the screen. let google translate for you with the CC button.
No.

Kwl!!
Never have I used a nailgun...do they all work that way just penetrating any wood or specific woods only?
Yes they penetrate any wood!
Who makes that nail gun, brother? Could not tell by color. Paslode ?
Yes, it is a Paslode.
