@Loganix, like you I just managed pickup CYP SY-P293 for £25, as I have had no end of issues with my retro PC setup and new monitors, I saw the SY-P293 for a low price in passing and said I might as well... finally a solution that seems to work (I can play Baryon again!! - a DOS game that doesn't play nice with LCDs)… the only issue I have is that my screen's default black level is now greyish (e.g. even on a blank screen) with the SY-P293 connected, also the screen wont go into energy save mode with the SY-P293 connected, as it seems its always sending a signal, even if the source is off... have you experienced the same/similar behaviour?

At my era we used our thumb and big fingers putting them on opposite edges of a CD, pulling up and pressing a central holder with our pointer finger. Easy ;)
