MCW Metrobus Farewell 1978-2010 TWM 2988 (E988VUK)

This is Travel West Midlands MCW Metrobus 2988 at the farewell event that was held on the 24th of July this year. Once upon a time, the West Midlands was flooded with these workhorses as they working on the bulk of the routes that the (then) West Midlands Travel operated and they provided 32 years of service to the people of the West Midlands. But sadly there is no more of these proper buses in service with Travel West Midlands as they have been replaced with the modern plastic crap!

Its an Alexander-Dennis Pointer Dart and it vibrates worse than a coffee bean shaker! Another boneshaker we've got from Cambridge. The bus is numbered 35106 (AE06WXS) and operated by Stagecoach in Peterborough. I HATE THESE THINGS WITH A PASSION! Give me an MCW Metrobus anyday!
