Brings back happy memories of the time spent there in my teens and at this point in time, I have had great times with friends in Barmouth and all the good memories.
First stepped off the train in Barmouth in September 1959 for my first annual holiday. Brilliant film which shows there has been very little change. Never tire of the beauty of the area. Continue to visit several times a year with my now extended family.
There were two Williams sites adjacent to each other owned by feuding brothers up until the 80's but one passed without heir and so both sites are now one
Been visiting this place since being a young child in the 80s, amazing to see such old footage. Specially the steam trains 🚂 crossing the Barmouth bridge. Great video 👍
fantastic , before i was born . I remember the lack of 1 way system in the town and the harbour as it used to look and was there for the first `peaks` race . Shame i didnt see Viking ( the boat ) as owned by Idris pew ( R.I.P )
They're gorgeous Jane.

Excellent, I spend a lot of time in the area, nice memories
Different times. Used to go to Barmouth in the 70's for family holidays.
Thank you for posting this video, I've been going there since I was born and still go every year now and it's hardly changed.
That brought back happy memories. I didn't spot myself though. I was in the carnival probably '63. Summer in Barmouth every year.
Great video, Barmouth hasn't really changed much!

Barmouth is the same lovely town today, apart from the summer mac`s on the men, it could be today.
Went camping with my parents twice a year 1959- 1965, at William's site across from the Wayside Cafe at Llanaber. Bloody magical days !!!
