I never understood how an inanimate object can hear, nevertheless it is very clear this business of slavery is to the current and former people the same as breathing- only if the breath stops in them can they be dissociated from the heinous practices. Clearly slavery is not a western invention but rather a continuation of oppression in a different milieu. The irony is that as a result of the continued exploitation of people as slaves resulted in chattel slavery becoming synonymous with a race “ black African race” even though it was practiced by other cultures. Now the stain of slavery is on people whose skin is black irrespective of their ancestors status and or history.

So it means you asantes are hiding your history of enslavement in ghana
