I just played this for the first time, it was pretty good. I'd like to try the other games.

The problem is, this is a GREAT multiplayer game. But the solo experience is a bit lacklustert, especially the dog fights.

I like the 3 top gear games for the SNES, however I do think this is second best, 2 is the best for me, mainly because of the soundtrack... I never knew this one cart had a special chip on it, I had a bootleg physical copy cart not the original back in the day and long time back I used to emulate this on zsnes and not have many issues with it - not sure which emulator retroarch chooses, but it might help to try to select an alternative to the default

You think this one is bad, as a kid I played the snot out of a much worse version... Almost sure it was for Game Gear... But when so young sometimes you don't care as long as you are playing a game 😅

Optimatch ANY is the best way to find matches when you know there is a lobby. Discord is where you know when there will be matches.

Also, you need to use the right stick on the regular to turn better and avoid enemy fire.

The AI does not prepare you for humans... the best practice mission is when you help the sheriff with the bandits on Arixo... it's the only mission that comes close to human play.

You can make the voices come out of the TV. Push b in lobby and scroll down to voices

You gotta get a 360 headset with the rca adapters.. the headset works with the communicator... you might have to snip off some rubber to make it fit.

I had this game as a kid; the highlight was literally finding out what each menu icon meant through trial and error.

I had so much fun with this way back when, and, now, I can play it again on my Hyperkin Retron 2. I used to play in practice mode and see how quickly I could cover the map and how many times I could annihilate the aliens. I had it down to a science back in the day😅 I can't wait for my next day off so I can revisit this awesome classic- kind of like a space age Sim City👍

Im not sure if you noticed or not but the far left bar shows all the power ups you got and I dont see you using any 🤣Is that on purpose? I did see the CPU use a powerup once so far, he used the one that destroys all power-ups (including the users of the powers power ups)

Such an odd perspective!! Seems like it would have been a decent game at a regular 45 degree isometric perspective instead of the skewverse geeze.

That camera angle is nauseating.
