Flying near the airport which is a private grass strip that is home to one airworthy plane other than my ultralight. There is never any traffic here and the other plane rarely flies. The runway has some rough spots that can also get muddy after a good rain but it's a good tradeoff considering the lack of traffic and being only 40 minutes from my house. Also it took three years on 4 waiting lists to find hangar space. We are about 4 miles from Class B and Mode C airspace but I avoid it like the plaque and stay under 700' AGL.
