@@FusingShop about 15-17 years ago in Eugene Oregon when the dfo and other people industry cash cow shows were starting to get real big and glass became something everyone wanted to be part of, there was a young man living in his s10 blowing glass in the passenger seat studio of his truck, he said the ventilation was great cause he opened the window and used the heater core fan to move air across him. He was frit and powder rolling I might also need to mention and basically every glass blowers in the state knew him and were scared for him and his health.

As my wife just reminded me, he held the same style torch you demo in this video between his legs as his mounting. It was a crazy thing, as I recall it all ended in a fire... Sad, but molten glass does demand a certain level of respect.

Hi! I would recommend trying to find a used kiln on Craigslist or Facebook marketplace. There are usually a few people with glass equipment for sale at really good prices. I bought my current kiln off Craigslist for half the retail price. Find a small kiln within your budget and search around. Bead kilns are good for small pipes and pendants. All the best! Sim

Yes indeed. When you blow glass really thin, it gets extremely fragile and makes micro-fragments and can cause some serious damage. The joys of glassblowing lol. All the best! Sim
