Amazing how flodo... I mean flojo went from times like 22.04 and 21.96 like in this race to running 21.34 in just a year. Just amazing.🤣

Florence improved her “dietary” in take and training a lot to be so good a mere 12 months later.
If by dietary intake you mean PED intake.
Marlene insieme a Evelyn, le due piu' grandi velociste natural di tutti i tempi
Merlene failed a drug test before sooo…
I think this race shows FloJo’s haters much. In this race, we can see her top speed was superior to all in the field by far to the point she passed Ottey (whose top speed was insane), and was gaining in Silky hard. She simply improved her start and acceleration much more in 1988, along with more strength, etc. This is much like we see from Shericka and Elaine.
I read this comment wonder if the writer even believes their own BS.
she didnt even qualify int he 100 that year. Next year, she breaks the record
@@bigchee8263 FloJo didn’t run the 100M…she was a 200/400M runner! Even not even being a 100M runner, she still had 10.9 under her belt! We have Fred Kerley, Shericka Jackson, and FloJo who all stepped down, NONE of them had fast 100M or 200M times prior to then except FloJo, and they ALL ended up being huge 100M superstars. Do you not see the pattern? Shericka’s and Elaine’s times were WAAAAAAAAY worse than FloJo’s…not even close, but they both got close to FloJo’s times as well. If you think FloJo doped, you should definitely think they did, with your logic.
@@stevie586 I don’t give a damn about Elaine or Sherika. Who the hell is comparing anyone? I know Flo Jo wasn’t anywhere near a WR 100m challenger until she came out all muscular out of NOWHERE in 88’. Go bully pulpit your Jamaican argument elsewhere. I think Flo Jo was a roider and you’re in here posting irrelevant bullshit

Olin intissä samaan aikaan ja yhtään matsii en nähny livenä.Kapteeni Blomqvistin olen tavannut useamman kerran tämän jälkeen!
Ite olin tuohon aikaan 5 vuotias.

No sign of Flo Jo there and yet a year later she was running half a second faster than any of them. Nothing suspicious there
Well it's the same thing that Usain Bolt did on the men side 20 years later. In 2007, Bolt didn't run the 100m at the world championship only the 200m where he got silver. Then in 2008, he broke the world record in both the 100m and 200m. Flo Jo did the same thing in 1987, by winning sliver in the 200m in at the world championship. She then break the world record in both 100m and 200m in 1988. Lol. So both Flo Jo and Bolt never use to run alot of 100m, but they broke the record the same year they took the event seriously
@@marfu1119yep!!!

Flo-Jo really did work on her technique!💪🏾
we all know she doped herself to get big muscles

Yea Flo Jo here 21.96. Fast forward a few short months and she is running 21.34 with a completely different physique and a voice like Barry White. Yeah nothing suspicious there
Child that lady's voice sounded the same throughout her career and sounded very much feminine. Have a seat
@@sir3958 nobody is that naive
Nice stash on that winner. LOL. We all know these times were drug induced. Flo Jo was juiced to the gills as well but it wasn't government sponsored/mandated. Where are all those white German women now crushing world records that stand for decades? Oh yeah....
Should void this world title given that she was roided up, I mean come on, look at her, give me a break.
New CR. Record.. 🤣😂Anyone who can post something like this has a longing for good memories and a life without worries. Greetings
Ran 21.96 here. September 1987. Last event of 1987. Flo-Jo re-emerged for the US trials in July 1988. Ran 21.77. Olympics in September 1988. Ran 21.34.

Funny how the East Germans dominated the 87 WC and then never seen again
The dominating East Germans had just reached the end of their careers. Marlies Goehr, long time 100 meter record holder, was born in 1958. She won Silver in the Moscow Olympics 1980, was World Champion in 1983, couldnt compete in 1984 and was already 30 in 1988. Same refers to Silke Gladisch. Heike Drechsler (Silver 100 Meter 1987 and long time worlsd record holder 200 meters), took 1988 bronze in 100m and 200 m. 1992 and 2000 she won Gold in longjump, Marita koch (born 1957), long time world record holder on 200 meters, took the Gold in 400 Meters 1980 in Moscow, couldnt compete in los Angeles in 1984, run 1985 the actual world record and finished her carrer before the olympics 1988 cause she suffered on permanent string problems. So the "secret" is: this East Gernan sprinter generation had reached the end of their careers. Till 1987 Flo Jo could never make it to a Gold medal. Her amazing transformation happened in 1988, when she improved her records very suprisingly over half a second on 100 meters and 200 meters. a very suprising improvement for her age. Who ever points on the East Germans cannot close his eyes about that astonishing miracle of Flo Jo. What happened to Flo Jo after 1988? She stepped back after her one legendary year. Some say she was afraid about elaborated testing.
@@airmaxxxer they had decorated careers but on the shoulders of enhancers, just like Flojo in 88
