Sir 1st question mein 31:50 mein, compund R mein jo middle wali benzene ring hai, usmein bhi toh o and p positions are empty. So why don't we substitute benzene there as well? Or is this concept of o and p substitution of benzene only applicable for phenol?

Usme acid sensitive group ester lga hua h toh wo ester ke saath he react krega. Sulphonation me toh aromaticity v barbad hogi pehle step me yes orr no , toh isseliye H2SO4 ester ke saath he react krta h.
