WOW, I was stationed there in 1996, I was in the USAF, training USN to do our Water Survival Training, then I was assigned to Defense information School, to be a photographer....things have changed big time

I was wondering how NATTC changed since it was moved to Pensacola. It used to be at NAS Memphis in Millington TN. They were adding new buildings at Millington but the barracks did not compare to what is shown here. Most of the schooling building and barracks have been leveled according to google earth and the NAS has been abandoned. Not sure if the current NATTC is computer taught or instructor taught. When I was going thru AT courses, it was a marine E6 and a navy E6 both teaching a group of about 25 per class. School was 6 months instructor taught and I graduated in Dec 87. Went to NAMTRADET at Oceana and my shore station was NAS Cecil Field (now closed) in Jacksonville FL. My SEAOPDET assignment was CVW-1 on the USS America CV 66…. A good carrier to be on. 18 months total shore time at Cecil and 18 months deployed at sea, ending with Desert Storm. USN 1987-1991

Thanks for memories, You ATs are ok I my book, can't play spades but you're ok... besides we AM's love when you strip the fasteners on the Flare panel on side F/A 18 so much fun to repair. at the end of shift on nights at 3 am. Just kidding. Better when didn't tell anyone the aircraft is first go, no one finds till the MO<-- Maintenance officer does on hi preflight. Plus, we don't stick around to help load flares either, same you don't stick around change tires. All good fun... have fun in the fleet enjoy yourselves before you know it, 20 years goes by like flash.

Did the marines order too many green uniforms NAVY bought them at doble price hand out.,
