Drone footage ||| Black Mountain Peninsula, Canberra [4K]
Shot on a DJI Mavic Pro.
Filmed around the Black Mountain Peninsula area of Canberra, in the Australian Capital Territory, Australia.
The black flickering in some parts of the video is (I'm guessing) due to shadows from the propellers hitting the camera.

Short few clips of the exhaust on my Liberty (legacy) 3.0r spec. B - it has a third cat delete, (replaced with custom y-pipe) and aftermarket hot dogs resonators in place of the stock mufflers.
Not enough 3.0r Spec B POV videos on youtube! I'm in the UK and have the saloon version
is this sydney?
hey mate. Killer sounding Lib. Wondering how bad the fuel economy really is in these things? Looking for one to replace my tired ba falcon 😛
Ride genthly through residential areas, but when you come to japan, challenge yourself on the mountain passes.😁
Shame you didn’t put some shifter bushings in when you had the exhaust off😅
Hahaha good eye!! I actually had them done not long after I took this video. Polyurethane bushings so they’re super firm even now all these years later
Envy from me! We don have makintosh in euro subarus
it's weird how much it sounds like a jz
いい音です。
lol i know this drive! across the anzac bridge, in the mornings people fly through there at 110 because its so wide.
insane sound 🤯
What exhaust you running??
sports.
Hey Mate! You are from Sydney? I have a Subie Liberty 3.0 MT too.. which exhaust you put? It is muffler delete?
hey ! muffler delete and third cat delete tooo . i just did it last week love the rumble ... from sydney too....
Hey Mate! You are from Sydney? I have a Subie Liberty 3.0 MT too.. which exhaust you put? It is muffler delete? Tkss
insane, this sounds like a porsche
Sounds amazing is there a chance you could tell me about your exhaust system. Im trying to get my car sounding like yours i just dont know what exhaust to buy and stuff
Looks pretty awesome around there. Nice footage.
Great video! Which year model is it?
2008 :)
Is there much drone with the exhaust setup?
sounds great
Do you find this setup to be too loud in real life and does it drone at all? I've been sitting on a set of headers for a while now and I'm thinking of either getting a similar setup or if I should just get an Xforce catback with hi-flow cats
Definitely not too loud-easily drowned out by music, and not annoying. Drone is a bit of an issue for me, only around 2,500 rpm. That could maybe be fixed with a proper set of mufflers (I just have 2 resonators at the back). Don't remove the large middle resonator unless you get a whole exhaust system cos you'll have a lot of drone. I've heard headers can make it raspier but if you paired it with say, an X-force catback, hi-flows, and some good mufflers (e.g. TCP Auto) you could get something nice.
I've had this same setup since this vid (over 3 years now) and haven't had any other issues. I would like to get headers at some point, but it's not at the top of my priorities rn.
hey man, nice car, what did you do to fix the sloppy shifter? easy job? Ive got the exact same problem on my ez30 legacy
Hey :) I got upgraded stiffer shifter bushings from a company in Sydney called CorgiWerx. I also got their short shifter adaptor which makes changing gears so much nicer. Not sure if they ship overseas but I'll link their FB page for you facebook.com/CorgiWerx/
@@quasarcreator thanks man, im in NZ so probably ships here
@@jamesoliver7531 I’m in NZ too! Do they ship here? I’ve got an 05 and the shifter is fine but I want to make it feel nicer...
Beautiful! Do you have any engine logs of the car driving around you'd be willing to share? Preferably stock including shifting? I need A/F and timing data from a 3.0R MT.
Hey mate, sadly not. Haven't had the need to take any logs. If I do, I'll try make a video about it
@@quasarcreator Hey thanks anyways! I was able to get some. Thanks for sharing the videos of your car!
Subaru Legacy 997 GT3
Wot a floppy stick
I fixed it a while back - nice and tight now 😜
Hey mate, love it. You should do another one of these videos, also how are you liking the car? I'm going to turbo one of these when I get one again in a few months. I had a 3.0 Outback a year ago but it was very frustrating having it in auto. I miss it so much though so I'm going to get one in manual
I should! Need to work on that over summer. The turbos go hard! I know a guy who did a turbo conversion on one and the thing is an animal
Hey mate, how do you like Si-Drive? Just purchased a 3.0r-b and getting used to it still.
It's fine I guess, it's nice to have the I mode which limits the throttle to 3/4 of what it should be which helps to make the car less frisky. Idk how much it affects fuel consumption but it's a nice idea
@@quasarcreator I see okay. Im still trying to figure out how much I'm going to get out of a tank because it already seems pretty thirsty? How much do you reckon you get from a tank?
@@reegan6552 under 500 kms
more please
Looking into one of these for my first car, they seem pretty dope :) exhaust sounds mint
Thinking of buying one soon .
Hi mate I know old video what exhaust you got I have the xforce but I want it to be a little louder
Hey all good, I just went to a muffler shop and got my two rear mufflers removed and replaced with small resonators. I also got the 3rd cat removed because it was blocked. If you have the xforce and want something louder maybe swap out the rear mufflers?
quasarcreator oh yeah I see bro I have to cats on the top did yours have two at the top two pipes?
Are these also flat layout? Or did subaru use V like everybody nowadays?
They're boxers, so, flat layout :)
Nice BGM!!!!!
More slowly OK? boy.
new 99 tunnel at the beginning? just curious haha
Lol sorry for the very late reply, I'm pretty sure it's the eastern part of the cross city tunnel or the eastern distributor (both in Sydney). Speed cameras everywhere inside tho so you have to make sure not to go above 80 ;)
Sounds good man. I really enjoyed to watch as I am driving 😂. Looking forward to see longer videos
I just bought one 2 weeks ago and I love it !!
do you still have it? and has it been reliable for u
im keen on the 6speed manual also hehe
1:50 caution pornographic content
a quieter version of this tone is what I'm trying to get. I had the xforce 2.5in catback and it was horrible, just bass like a commodore v6. now got stock middle and sti quad mufflers, it's so quiet
Ay nice, and yeah with the wrong setup it can sound like a commodore or even falcon lol. Mine has actually gotten a bit quieter since this video, i believe there may be a little exhaust leak
Nice car buddy. I have the 2005 legacy 3.0r Spec b. Stock everything except for cold air intake and running enkei rpf1's 18x8 rims. I can't get over how good they sound and the amount of people who stop me in she street asking questions about the flat 6. Alot are really surprised to find it was co-developed by porshe 😂. Any updates on your car since this upload?
Would you reccomend the cold air intake? Much difference?
@@smurf101100 stock intake is good enough
It was not codeveloped woth porsche, stop stealing credit from something that is 100% inhouse Subaru design, juet liek EG33 before it and all other Subaru engines, only codevelopment ever was getting toyota parts for FA20 motor in BRZ/GT86 tonuse toyotas D4S injection system. EZ30 is Subarus own and FB/FA series are semi-derived from it end of story.
Perfect video looking at buy one of these beast just wanted to see how it was like driving
They're great to drive! I don't have any, but I've heard coils and 1 or 2 suspension mods can make a huge difference. Had the car for 2 years almost, no real complaints as of yet
What do you run axle back do you have a set of mufflers or is it just straight from the hotdogs
From the front axle back? I ripped out the third cat (it was basically dead anyway) which is just behind the front axles, and replaced it with a y-pipe. It then goes through the stock resonator, and splits into two hot dogs at the rear bumper, which replace the stock mufflers.
@@quasarcreator ahhhh so the exhaust finishes at the hotdogs
@@gamerguy1111 Yep! I'm using them essentially as mufflers. I got the stock exhaust tips welded on to them so it looks just like stock
amazing sound
I think you're a dickhead, you're going to kill someone one day. The speeds you are doing in small residential streets is appalling. On your P's with no experience, well done flog.
We all know why we are here
Have you subbed to Pewd yet?
он не смотрит в зеркала , он оборачивается?) аахах
Is this the facelift model?? I love the interior and I'm trying to distinguish the differences
Yep! Main differences are different gauge cluster, different stereo (and piano black trim around it) different shifter cutout, (circle as opposed to a square) 2 separate cup holders with blue LED rings inside and of course SI drive. I replaced the stereo with a double din unit like a month after making this video
@@quasarcreator Thanks heaps for the reply! I'll definitely be going for this model!
and suddenly a child runs out on the road
The gear stick seems to move a lot, does it? Is it normal? :)
It used to! But now I've fixed it and it barely moves around at all - so much better. It is normal, the rubber bushes in the gearbox tend to wear down and break over time, so I replaced them with some much harder plastic ones so it's more stiff and will last longer :)
@@quasarcreator Thank you, I was curios. I love your car!
bushes mate
Need more content!!
Working on it :) Got a nice mic and camera not too long ago so am planning to get out soon and film some stuff
Big ups from California! Super dope car mate! I wish these were more available in the states. I think only got the 2.5 spec b here. Either way that spec b is a gem! I would love to get one of these and sc it amd throw a bunch of sti components at it, at least brakes. Would move to Europe for it, hell. Any how great luck with the build! Subscribed.
Ayy thanks man :) and yeah it's a bit of a shame. The GT is definitely much easier to make power out of though, I'm gonna leave the engine stock til I get a good paying job :') Already upgraded the brakes on mine but am gonna order some coilovers before the end of the year.
We did get this engine in the 2008-2009 legacy 3.0R, and in the 2005-2009 outback 3.0R, I have a 05 3.0R outback wagon but it was only available with the 5EAT which, while passable, makes me sad
@@monochrome_sea I dropped mine off at the shop to get a 6 speed today. Where there's a will, there's a way!
@@peterjorgensen3 how did that go? what was the swap like and the shop costs?
