7:44~in the example “milk” i is a short vowel⋯the example contradicts your rule⋯🤷♂️ any explanation ⋯?
Good catch! I forgot to mention a part of the rule. If the K sound is preceded by a long vowel OR a consonant, it is spelled with a K. "If the K sound falls at the end of the word, and the K is immediately preceded by a short vowel sound, it is spelled ck. If the K sound is immediately preceded by a long vowel sound or consonant, it is spelled with k." I appreciate your feedback! I am still working on making the best videos I can for students.
Thank you for giving us an incredible course.Thank you!

American here. We don’t all sound southern. I’m from Virginia and have a newscaster accent
@marcoshernandez1833 7 years ago So what would you say my, parents born in Mexico, me in California, my Mexican born relatives don't consider me to be Mexican, they say I am puro Americano, or all American, because I was not born or raised in Mexico I was born in the United States of America, California, I had a Romanian and a Georgian born woman also correct me on the topic of nationality, Georgia is a nation near Russia in Eastern Europe, . She and the Romanian born woman said nationality is where you are born, So she said I am an American by nationality and ethnicity and that she is Romanian and that Evana is Georgian becuse she was born in Georgia, do this women have a valid point am I an American, need your feed back thankyou?
Agreed, Americans don't all sound southern. This video showcased individuals from Birmingham, Alabama, and many from that region tend to sound "southern."
Hi Marco, this video is intended for a Beginner's English class. These sentences are designed for a very basic lesson on countries and nationalities. The topic of nationalities is indeed one that is debated, and many individuals have different opionions on the matter.
Three: zriii 😂
Increible
one could argue that "through" and "true" isn't a minimal pair for /t/-/θ/ because the t in true is /t͡ʃ/
