Bella Nipotina - G1 The Everest
“She’s just a freak... She’s reached The Everest. It’s a dream come true," - breeder and co-owner Michael Christian.
Bella Nipotina - the toughest horse in Australian racing - prevailed in a thrilling G1 $20m The Everest at Royal Randwick. It was the 10th career victory for the 7YO daughter of Pride of Dubai - who began her career with placings in the Inglis Banner and Inglis Millennium as a 2YO.
Bella Nipotina was bought for just $80,000 from Rosemont Stud's 2019 #InglisPremier draft by Lindsay Park Racing, Andrew Williams Bloodstock and Mt Hallowell Stud. Her prizemoney earnings now sit at more than $18m!

The highly respected horseman has a keen eye for a thoroughbred and has developed both equine and human stars of the sport over the past few decades. While Tal meticulously inspects almost every yearling at the sales, he prefers to avoid the hustle and bustle of sale day and leave the buying to Inglis Bloodstock ...

3 babies one stillborn give her a rest
Thank you for uploading this interesting insight into the breeding industry. 👍
The like of her will never be seen again…that’s what they said after the diva❤
There will never be another like her❤
A beautiful outcome for a special family go Winx go❤
To all the people talking about “oh she didn’t beat europes best” .. when one of those horses beats her cox plate track record at mooney valley (2,000m 2:02:94) then I’ll listen to it .. otherwise shhhhhh
Whilst Waller's pedantic training measures did help Winx, the reason it had such an injury-free career is because she was rarely ever whipped and pushed to the extreme.
Congrat for the amazing series
Great. That she bought. It
JR is just too goofy
Very exciting stuff. Hope broadsiding - autumn glow race happens that will be an exciting race at 1600
Best of luck 🍀🤞
Should have had. A crack in Europe
I hope Winx is treated like the queen she is & not bred to death like Black Caviar. Rip Black Caviar 🖤♥️
are you serious, where there's big $$$ they dgaf about the animals despite the lip service. black caviar made moody millions and still died in pain bred to death. they wrung every cent they could out of her dead carcass..
😢😢
#Mare
America's Joy sold for $8.2 million American in 2019 as a yearling filly to Mandy Pope. That is well over $10 million Australian.
It's a boy or girl? Who know?
Good storytelling Inglis
Havre de Grace 2011 horse of the year sells for $10M a bona fide Grade one winner. No movie, no roarer failed scope, not bought back buy her owner Mr Porter but sold at arms length transaction. Songbird 9 Grade 1 victories, Eclipse horse of the year, offered for auction in USA sold for $9.5M another genuine sale, think about that.
Maravilloso !!. Saludos de Cuzco-Perú.
it would be funny if she turned into a donkey
A little late with this ad
They surely never wanted to sell her,it was a show to uprise the price for winx future babies and of course her current daughter’s reputation
I don't think it was a form of appraisal (which is what I think you meant). They had plenty of people to ballpark for them. Sadly the foals are rarely as good as the champion parent and this one would have to outdo her mother's career prizemoney just to justify her investment. If we equate Winx to Phar Lap (that is to say the calibre and level) considering they are the closest to being peers abd have a lot of parallels with even some of the greatest in between barely scratching that, it took almost a hundred years between them. It's an impossible ask and it may never see a racetrack. I don't believe they didn't want to sell it as, had that been the case, they wouldn't have and, again, it wouldn't have taken much at all to predict the interest and value. There were simply better ways. Especially given the fact that one of her owners was the one that threw in everything to retain the foal. You don't go through all that just to find out what something is worth, especially when you were the one who drove the bidding to keep the foal in the end. That level of emotion will impact everything going forward.
@@melissamassey5214 duh. obviously the price is based on her value as a broodmare..
Who in their right mind would sell Winx filly omg must need money or perhaps there is something else who kn ows but incomprehensible to sell her.
The filly was owned by debbie and 2 other people ! Debbie just had to publicly buy them out
@@Polly-c6gtwo other new owner ?
Street Cry produced both Zenyatta and Winx. Hell of a stud he was.
was? so not around anymore?
@@azza7717 bro it died like 10 years ago
Veo que corre libre con él y su Jockey
Love IT!
Winx is in foal to Snitzel, that foal may make over 10mil if it’s a filly
So why did she put the horse in the sale if she didn't want to sell it? Does she pay herself the 10 million? I don't get it.
She owned the horse with two other people who wanted to sell it. She agreed then changed her mind so she had to buy the horse as they wanted it sold still.
@@chezwarden659 she paid them $10 million to keep the filly?! So she is the sole owner now correct?
She will get a third of the auction money back, the rest will go to the other 2 owners I presume
@@laurawoodside2481 Yes her family.
She only paid technically paid 6.3mil for it
An awesome series - Hugo B.
Just a suggestion hoping Debbie could maybe have a competition in oz to name the filly for a very little share, from a 52 yr old in Newcastle who no other horse has made me tear up like mum did, god bless
They should breed winx to justify
I would breed her to So You Think.
Roamong Richo is awesome! Nice to have some levity on a very serious day. Great job talking to the attendees!!!
Frankel x winx
I love WINX SO DEARLY, now i am very happy because i saw the daughter of the Great Mare, so ecstatic
With all this hype, I hope it's doesn't become a dud..
£5 mil bought in publicity stunt
sold for 10 milion
Yes they do not own her they have been looking after her for the owners who owned winx
They don’t own her they just prep them
She only boards there
Too bad she never beat a really good horse She beat Benbatl and Highland Reel but both of them were well beaten in England many many times.
Highland Reel won 3 Group 1 Races in England. The Breeders Cup Turf and the Hong Kong Vase.Benbatl won 3 Group 1 races and ran third in the Saudi Cup beating some of the best dirt horses the US had to offer.
@@tanjawachsmuth5631 Highland Reel was pretty good not really good Like I said a lot of horses beat Highland Reel Beating him didn’t make a horse great And you’re really saying Benbatl was a good horse because he ran 3rd in a race??? He couldn’t run a place bin 5 group one attempts in England As I said, they were both pretty good, not very good
Benbatl was the highest rated international horse to ever race in Australia
@@michaelmcleod7597 Possibly true But still a very long way short of the best in Europe
@@elgransenor1472 Refresh my memory where her sire was from, so racehorses born in the southern hemisphere are inferior to the ones born in the northern countries?..yeah ok
Benbatl was a bang average group horse who could not win a group 1 in the UK ... He was the sort of horse Frankel would beat by 20 lengths without getting out of 2nd gear ... but then nothing could live with the unbeaten Frankel, the highest rated horse of all time
If the filly is so important why is Coolmore selling her!?
There selling or sold as agent
Coolmore NEVER OWNED Winx's Filly!!!
@@danarmstrong1663 They're NOT there!!!!!!!!
Very interesting documentary looking forward to seeing how the sales go and further parts of the series
I just wish they GET HUGH BOWMAN TO BE THE "FULL TIME JOCKEY OF THIS HORSE, AND RIDE HER, AS HUGH DID FOR WINX, THEY HAVE A SPECIAL BOND TOGETHER, THEY.KNEW EACH OTHER SO VERY WELL, AND I THINK, THAT IS ONE OF THE MAIN REASON, WHY THEY HAVE BEEN A WINNING TANDEM AND ALWAYS WINNING THE RACE, WINX LOVES HUGH AND VICE VERSA.
You do know that he was on her back for no more than 2 hours over her career?
@stevemckellar3513 absolutely yes I know Still, horses knows and can recognize the people that are with them, no matter how short the time is. Winx knows that when she races, she is there to WIN.
Will the filly emulate her mother best luck to the people who buy her
I hope she has a good life
doubt it. she's worth too much and her progeny are worth millions so they will breed her dry like black caviar and when she's dead they'll have a tearful testimony where the trainer will cry crocodile tears.. horses who win nothing and get bought by hobbyists are the only ones who have a chance at a decent life in retirement.
this is too cute, reminds of the shetland pony grand national in which I roared my head off laughing
