The Deadpool franchise is the jewel in the crown of the MCU and a cash cow for the studio in a time where other recent MCU movies are not living up to expectations. They didn't need Brie Larson's input to 'fix' anything. She already had a rep for being difficult to work with. I don't know why she was hired on in the first place.
