    Great video, however i don't know if it's due to Demos graph has been updated or not, it won't show the left tab of the desmos graph calculator, they will have do open in a different window. I tried adjusting the width and height of the code but didn't work unfortunately. If will still show the graph, just not the function tab on the left.

    Suggestion, the calculator defines payments as cash inflows (+) and cash outflows (-). Since your initial payment of 5,000 is a cash outflow (from your personal standpoint), plug it in as a negative number.

    The example at minute 5:26 with hockey players can be represented as "all canadians are men" ...so isn't it invalid?

    • @tammybarker1226
      @tammybarker1226 Год назад

      I think you are referring to when I said you can make the circle small inside. What I meant there is that the circle for Canadians could be small and stay inside of the circle that is labeled M or it can be drawn bigger (the way I drew it) to go outside of the 2 circles in the Venn Diagram. Any way you draw the circle for Canadians it will touch the M circle. If we drew it in a way that all Canadians are men the argument will be valid even if the overall argument is not true. That's part of the confusing part with logic, we don't want to confuse truth and validity.

    Off topic but I've noticed there is lag when writing (user input) and the output being displayed on the screen. Is there a way to minimize lag and make it non existent. What hardware would i need to make this happen? I've seen folks off youtube able to free flow with zero lag who are unwilling to share their secrets. Could you kindly shed light on how they're able to accomplish this? Thanks.

    Uh, doesn't your last diagram say that every U.S. citizen is in the Army?

    • @tammybarker1226
      @tammybarker1226 2 года назад

      So here's the interesting thing with Euler diagrams, you have to not in part your knowledge into the drawing. We may know that some U.S. citizens are not in the Army, and we could have drawn the diagram to show that, but nothing from the premise gave us that information. When we draw the diagram we just want to make sure the diagram shows that the premise are true and then we try to tell if we can therefore conclude that the conclusion is also true. Try this: Do the problem as this argument All Beagles are mammals. All Beagles are dogs. Therefore all mammals are dogs. It's a similar argument in structure but because we know all dogs are mammals you probably wouldn't draw the dog circle outside of the mammal circle. Euler Diagrams sometimes require you to turn off knowledge that is not in the argument so that you can stick to what is given. This shows you how logic is so important to fields like law. Only argue what you can prove. Hope that helps.

    FYI - at 4:38 that is a picture of Bernhard Riemann, not Christian Goldbach. Also all prime numbers are either one more, or one less than multiples of 6 to my knowledge.

    Perhaps the Twin Prime Conjecture can be proven from inference based on the twin prime counts in the matrices of the “Architecture of the Primes” (see bigprimenumber.com). The matrices are bounded by prime factorials (PF) 6, 30, 210, 2310, 30030, 510510 etc. Matrix 2 is between 6 and 30 and has 2 twin pairs (11/13, 17/19). In Matrix 3, bounded by 30 and 210, we find 10 new twin pairs (41/43, 59/61, 71,73, 101/103, 107/109, 137/139, 149/151, 179/181, 191/193, 197/199). Note that each number is derived by adding a multiple of the lower bound prime factorial 30 to one of the prime numbers (with some exceptions for relatively prime numbers) so 41 + 30 = 71, 11+3*30 = 101, …19+4*30=139 etc. Matrix 4, bounded by 210 and 2310, has 39 additional twin pairs. There are an infinite number of matrices. As the density of twin pairs per matrix is increasing, the number of twin pairs is therefore infinite.
