This is a song they should still play live. With the Johnson songs, the majority only get played live in connection to the album. The only ones that seem to get played are the classics from Back in Black, Thunderstruck, Heat Seeker, Who Made Who and their FTATR in the finale. That's a shame, because this song is a fantastic rock and roll song.

Just got back from Las Vegas. Sitting in the airport awaiting my flight, and this song came over the speakers. At first I thought it might be new AC/DC for the upcoming tour. Then when Bon started, I flashed back to 1978. I was 15 and Powerage was an instant favorite. I haven't heard this in YEARS. But just like that, the Bon + Angus magic fuse was lit and I wished they would crank it for all to enjoy like I was in my mind.

Who would've thought, that Bon Scott would go the following month. And the band were already working on back in black as well. Fate, fate.....

This was on the B-side of the "Touch Too Much" single in 1980. Normally B-sides were just B-sides, but this one became my personal A-side. I liked Touch too much, but Live Wire killed it for me.
