The bit about how to record some vba to refresh the query was so helpful. I have been struggling for a week with a long vba macro which had a refresh all in it. It worked sometimes but not others but I had recorded the refresh bit by clicking on refresh all on the top menu bar not the little refresh symbol in the query window you used. So relieved. Thanks so much.
