Lap 2 of an 8 hour and twenty minute race. Sand was already getting whooped out, it was nothing compared to the last lap. Course was crazy rough at the end. I definitely need to work on speed. Four on our team, and we each did 7 laps. We finished 6th out of 28 teams. Good time!

Nice start! How was the course and how did you finish? You were ripping! I wanted race this round but had some conflicts.
@@brianfreeh8247 course was basically the same as last year, dry and dusty in spots, then greasy mud in the corners. Always fun to race and catch up with the worcs crew. I finished 2nd.
I'm glad you and Trev could get out and have that time. Love seeing that.
Nothing feels better than a nice juicy holeshot!
Dude, sweet!
Absolutely insane how much seat time you get. I love it!
Clock is ticking…
What class is this
Can’t remember, I’m guess old and slow. 😂
I think someone should be in the B class. You're hauling! Nice video. 👍
You were riding good for having arm pump! I wish I could of got a better start and my rear brake wouldn't have overheated so I could have been upfront with you guys. See ya at the next race!
Damn arm pump!!! I tried to stay with you. See ya soon!
It looked like you were a bike length behind everyone on the starting line? Just wanted to give everyone a chance? Lol looked like you passed 87 guys!
Not my best start for sure. Got really bad arm pump. Gave it all I had! Missed you there!
That looked like a fast track.
That course was brutal! I ended up 4th, but I am still paying the price for it. lol
Love that track. Hope they fix your score.
love it
🤠🤘🤘
I've lost track now. Are you on a 450 or 350?
24 350SXF is the weapon of choice. Best of all worlds!
Epic weekend. I love the commentary. You're the king of saying you're going to take it slow then rip off a win. Haha. Nice job.
It was a good one! Missed you there!
I will return...someday. @@KTMMO615
Nice job! Wish I could have been there yesterday.
It was a great course!
Great ride, you were ripping! Looks like a really fun truck.
So damn fun! Love it!
What made you sell it after such a short time with it?
Too many bikes, just didn’t see myself riding it enough to keep. Had a guy interested, so I sold it.
What are you using for a spark arrestor? Thanks.
Left it stock. Sadly, sold the bike in December.
That step-up was sick! I haven't ridden or raced Mesquite MX since 2002/3. Nice video, and I'm glad to see you healed up! Brabb...
Thanks brother! I just kept it in 3rd and sent it!
Sweet ride man, the bike and it operation. Is the Husky as similar to the KTM 500 exc as people say? I've heard the only significant difference is in the suspension... a linkage in the rear and different spring rates up front.
Yes, the KTM has the PDS rear shock. The HUSKY is linkage. Also the rear subframes are slightly different. Others than that, they’re the same bike. Very good do it all machines.
Great vid. It was cool drone shot with arms up. Cant get any better.
What brand skid plate did you choose? Beautiful looking trail, where is that?
Acerbis factory skid plate. This is in southern Idaho. Endless trails.
Living the dream 🤙. That trailer u have looks super cool 👌
Cool video 👍🏼 just subbed. Lol your poor friend is in denial that the husqy is superior to the Honda 😅 🤘
I talked him into buying an 890 Adventure too. He’s learning…
@@KTMMO615 that’s awesome, would love to own an 890 one day. I used to have a 2010 990, man I miss that bike 😮💨
How do you know which route to take? Are you using a gps? Great bid btw love the map tracking at the end 👌
Usually just head out with a full tank and explore my way around. I have an app called MAPS.ME on my phone if I need help figuring out where to go.
@@KTMMO615 thanks for the great content - I subbed 👍 How did you get the map tracking to see exactly where you went in real time like that? It would be great for me to upload stuff like that for my vids.
@@TEKKYTWO it’s an app called Relive. It tracks your ride, then plays it back like that. Pretty cool.
Hello, It is exactly the same trip I did for severals months with my 701. But this week I sold it and going to replace by a… 501. Nearly 95 lbs lighter 😅. Yes it is a great bike. You have a serious docking system for your gps. Do you have the référence of it please ? Éric from France.
I’ve got Flexxbars on it and rigged up a homemade mount to hold the Trailtech gps. I’ve owned three 690’s, and sold three 690’s. 501 has stayed put. Love it!
What bend twinwalls did you put on that thing?
I don’t remember, but I swapped them out for some higher bend pro tapers.
cool vid, hope you’re healing up well!
Thanks Al, I’ll be ready for Rd 1 !!
Too bad they put braktecs on them.
Brembo owns Braktec. The clutch is butter smooth, and can’t feel any difference on the brakes. All good.
I tried ktm and gasgas on a a demo day and the gasgas brakes are definitely not as good as the ktms.
I'm 53 and was thinking about doing some amateur MX racing for fun, then I saw this guys x-ray with the collar bone repairs from previous wrecks. Ouch!
Racing motorcycles can definitely be dangerous, but I love it! I plan on racing for as long as I can. My body is 57, but in my head I’m 25. No regrets!
My last desert race I was the only one in my class (over 65). Now I tell everyone that I won my last race.🤣
Thanks for the content. Best wishes on recovery.
Did u put a 19r on back wheel or still with the 18?
18.
Man that's a bummer buddy, hope you heal fast and get back out there soon. Take care my man, sorry to hear that.
Was not what I wanted to see , Heal up
Sorry to see this Mo. Hope you heal up well. Take it easy and give yourself plenty of time before you get back on the bike.
Ouch! Broken ribs are the worst. No laughing or sneezing allowed! Back in 2003, I got hurt in Mesquite. I switched up my line at the last second to avoid a downed rider, and the guy behind me landed on me on the backside of a table. Heal up fast, Mo.
Thumbs up for positivity. Now you have plenty of time to get your snow kit installed. Thanks for all of the great content.
Heal up bro.
What do you run for hand guards? I’ve been wanting to run the flex bars but haven’t seen much for compatible hand guards
Sickass racing hand guards. I have flexx bars on it, and they work great.
We're all just trying to "live like MO". Looks awesome.
You can’t even imagine how governed this bike is by exhaust, emissions and ECU until you gut the emissions and upgrade the ECU.
Should have come over and said hi, 700 miles one way for us split it into 2 days stayed in Beaver ut. I was the Only one in. 60B still had fun I'm a dez guy I'm OK. With dust the mix of mud, rocks, tackey , fresh-fresh & slimy made you think had some good battles on track $2000+ weekend I would do it again
It was great to meet you! I had a blast and hope to be in Mesquite for the next race.
Missed you guys. Glad it went well. That was dusty. I always say if I wanted dust I'd race desert! lol
Glad you got out and raced. Glad you're o.k. and Glad to see Naser racing again.
Need to see you more!
working on it.@@KTMMO615
Great video! I am thinking about racing the upcoming WORCS round in Utah. Do I need an oversized tank? I have a stock MC450. I would race the 50+C class, which is how I found your videos.
You’ll be fine on a stock tank. Unless you’re wide open the whole race, then you better jump in the A class! 👍
Great video. Do you feel the larger clutch cover is worth the extra oil capasity?
I originally bought it so I could fit a clutch weight. I didn’t like how it slowed the rev, and kinda took the snap out of it. So I pulled the weight but left the cover. It’s aluminum so it’s stronger, and holds a tad bit more oil. Two pluses in my book.
Looks great guys. I need to get me another 690 for this very type of riding.
Yes you do!
