Agreed, Mr Roberts: Glasgow Barrowlands rocks - as it did on the last show at Barrowlands on the tour I was fortunate enough to be on. Does Paul still follow Fulham as I do Blackburn Rovers!! Good to see & hear yer pal. Hope all is well ;-) ... Woody

I think you meant Hugh Cornwell.
You obviously don't know the History of the band. Hugh was in the first and best line-up but he left in 1990. The Stranglers were Hughs band but they continued without him. 🫤
Paul Roberts was The Stranglers Frontman from 1990- 2006. The Stranglers had released 5 Studio Albums with him. And this Albums are very good. And Paul did a very good Job as their Singer. I mean Albums like About Time or the punkish Norfolk Coast are great Albums so far. Thank you Paul ❤
Worst interviewer ever ,, no research bad questions ..no proper interaction .. clueless.. A 10 year old could do better Paul willing to explain everything and we have s knob interviewing….

The lowest `point in their career. I don't what this guy brought to the band, it wasn't even the Stanglers at this point and has never gone back to the glory and energy of the original lineup.

Good for you for getting us this interview & insight. I only began reading about the background to Hughs’ leaving the band & John saying he felt betrayed . On one hand it’s all ancient history but on another without those events we wouldn’t be where we are .

Did anyone notice how often Paul had difficulty understanding the question. This interviewer needs eloquent lesson. Hello you maybe English but you can't speak for shit to put it mildly. Pleade go and get pronouncation lesson and how to deliver a question with flair. The talent was definitely Paul, the interviewer let himself down. I'm Australian of Maltese background and I could have done your job 10 times better.

Nope..looks/ looked nothing like bowie.
Paul’s’ face or the shape of the front of his head does offer more of a resemblance to Bowie than anyone else in The Stranglers & his speaking voice is in a similar frequency to David’s’ so I can see where comparisons lie. For me Baz certainly sounds uncannily like Hugh although I’m on dangerous ground with half the fans !

Have been watching (tonight) a lot of footage with mr roberts as the stranglers frontman.. absolutely gorgeous! And an amazing singer!
So great to see Paul. Hopefully we'll get a chance to see him gig again. So many memories of great nights with the Stranglers, Faith Band, Soulsec, Back in Town with JE.....
The man who saved The Stranglers according to JJ many times, and who gave them a completely new and great sound with John Ellis an awesome guitarist. The MeninblacK for sure.

Better than Warne??? Ha ha you are utterly deluded...stranglers with baz material dwarves anything mk2 did. Respect for Roberts he had an impossible job but the live audiences were dwindling before Norfolk Coast. I wish him all the best though
@@simonbarber2098No, I'm not utterly deluded, I just have a different opinion - one which does not measure quality merely by commercial success or the size of a "love [sic] audience". I'd take Hugh's voice over either of these any day though.
I measure it by the actual quality of the music which with Baz is as good as mk1.
