One more tip for driving on sand : not with a LandRover! Too heavy, I''ve seen many get stuck in the dunes due to weight and electircal/heating/reliablity issues. Go with a Toyota/Nissan or my FJ cruiser, just like the locals do ;)
Stuck? Electrical/heating/reliability issues......Land Rover shipped to all corners of the globe since 48, to work in the most arduous of conditions, yet still looks cool trundling through Kensington High Street or Knightsbridge, pulling up at Marks n Spencer's or ferrying our Prince Philip to his final resting place......Land Rover, classless, timeless, rugged, honest, dependable, character, an institution.

Is it recomended or safe for the vehicle to drive in the desert on sand mode full time ?
