Too long talking

Great video! Teaching center routines you mention that all your students play in one center and then you rotate them to another center together. Did you do that when you taught in a public school with 18 kids? I can't visualize allowing all 17 of my students in one center at a time! There isn't enough space. My curriculum requires a cubicle-like furniture arrangement of centers. So my library, sand, water table and discovery centers will only allow two children at a time. My art center and toys & games will have at least 4 students per center. I think my dramatic play can only have 3 students tops. Thank you.

Thank you for your videos! So you follow your own curriculum? My private preschool implemented a new curriculum last year called The Creative Curriculum. I have to follow a specific curriculum starting with the First Six Weeks.

When should I start compound words, beginning, middle, or end of the year?

i am binge watching all your videos. i have been teaching so many years it is so refreshing to see new ideas and approaches to activities

I know a lot of educators see it as a big no-no to use negatives in rules, but I feel like kids this young need to be taught explicitly what not to do. I.E. instead of telling kids we only say nice things, I feel like some kids need to be told we don't make fun of someone's outfit or haircut, just as an example. I'm interested in hearing your thoughts on this. You definitely have more experience than I do. (This is for more 5/6 year old age level, not the real littles).

These resources are super helpful! However, where do you go to get items larger than 8.5x 11 laminated? I have a lamination machine but not for these larger posters. I don't live near a teacher supply store either, unfortunately. A large roll of lamination film is about $70. Way out of my back to school budget.

Trying to find out what each section is labeled. Cant find it here or on the blog.

I missed something - when you were assessing letter knowledge, you pulled out a sheet of paper w/upper and lower on it and marked on that instead of the assessment sheet with ALL of their info on it, which I've also seen you use and date (with the different colored ink). What's the difference? Do you transfer the date from the letter sheet to the general sheet at a different time?
