Appreciate all your Renko series. Quick question : How do you backtest Renko ? On tradingview backtesting is useless does not show the real price movement... on the 1m TF you can probably backtest 2 weeks maximum. Thank you!

outstanding knowledge, just tested it with success on Solana today. I sticked to your renko ideas ( because of chart simplicity/strong move indication and most because of less nerves to trade), but you also promoting kagi - is that strategy better/worse with kagi charts in your opinion? Not tested much yet, but what you think about long entry when first supertrend go green and RSI cross up 50%, so not waiting for second supertrend go green?

Hello Stephen, thanks for the great video. How do you deal with the fact that Tradingview renko is time adjusted so that its close prices aren't actually the actual close prices at that time?

my problem with the SuperTrend is that it's very laggy. so we can enter a trade only after the SuperTrend showed us the signal, and the by itself is only AFTER the trend already actually started. the same is also for the exit, so we miss a big portion of the whole trend...

What is the settings of supertrend for renko?

Great video. I like the PSAR too, it's one of those less subjective indicators, either bullish or bearish and no inbetween. A little hack I use is determining market structure with PSAR, so for example I will only validate a bullish PSAR signal if the starting dot is equal to or higher than the previous bullish signal starting dot. Same but vice-versa for bearish. Handy on lower timeframes for staying out of chop. Sometimes I'll put 2 PSAR's on the chart, but one will have extreme settings like 0.002 / 0.002 / 0.02 which gives you very long unbroken lines which I use as a kind of longer term direction bias. As you say, it's good to play with these things 🙂

Hi Stephen. I only wandered onto your site here very recently. I've been studying and working at trading for years and I can safely say that your well explained videos re Renko Bars have the best information I have ever seen. For a variety of reasons (mostly due to ignorance), I passed over Renko Bars several years ago, but came back to them realizing that the normal price bar noise was making things much more difficult. The bars add a tremendous amount of clarity, especially for short term (5 minute) trend trading. Establishing entries and setting stop losses is much easier using the bars. I can't thank you enough for taking the time and sharing your wealth of knowledge. Everything is coming together nicely now.

Check - time 15:28 and time 2:07:24. It's is for beginners not for advance trader - I wish 2:30+hrs video had 1 or 2 indictors with the backtesting and clear edge + results - A lot missing here. No scanner info. something to improve. I started watching after reading few positive comments but not worth the time. some useful info on different indicators and that's all. May be I had good expectation as title suggest (winning edge)

Thankyou for this video. I was actually interested in the TSLA pre market hours specifically. Got wacked with a gap whilst doing an FTMO challenge. At first I thought I didn't have the option to click "Session" but I tried putting the chart as an hourly and then the Session option came up. Just noticed someone else mentioned the chart should be on any intraday timeframe.

I think it's important to state, it could print 1-2-3-4-5 bricks before they "close". So, you could have 1 brick be 1 day or 5 bricks be 1 one.
