The light slipping thru so un-uniformly between just certain slats would suggest the slats are not very well spaced, evenly placed. ?! I also noticed they were not flush in the centre when the doors were closed..I'd expect a bit better for the high cost.

If you use the dry ice machine for the appropriate use, you should have no problems. On greasy surfaces you are freezing the oil right onto the part.

How did you address the evaporation issue? How does the moisture get evacuated so as not to mildew or mold or otherwise destroy the wood finish?

The concrete frame screws look great. I’ve got to do this on an old 1970s gate where the existing wooden gate frame is mounted to concrete posts with 50yo rusted coach bolts, I fear they may be stuck fast and need the attention of my angle grinder. Good to know these are an alternative before I crack on!

What about the lead in the old porcelain and glaze? Sanding would create it airborne.

You can't do dry ice cleaning unless you have adequate psi and cfm. The "machine" is just a hopper with a valve to turn the pressure up and down. The machines are a bit of a scam if you think about it. All the money is in your air compressor.
