High water descent of the Clearwater River, BC (todo at 460cms)
Просмотров 1,4 тыс.3 месяца назад
Big day pushing the highwater descent of the Clearwater river from clearwater lake to town. Always dreamed to push Benny Marr and I's 330 cms descent. With Aniol and Sven in town looking for a good river to hit on their way to the Stikine, and the river sitting 460cms, the stars aligned and we went in to see what we could find in there with an extra 130cms! Harry Hasselman felt unsure about the...

Talented Kayakers!!!!
Fuck yea bro! That was epic and loved the description
this comment is a continuation of the write up i wrote in the description! super big day, super special day for me, ive grown up paddling the Clearwater for 15 years now, ive learned so much from this river, and the older i get (24 now) i still continue to find different thing, it continues to blow my mind in many ways, it makes me a stronger kayaker, and a more mature human, im forever grateful for its journeys its given me and this place to me is truly my home even though I'm not around as much as id like to be these days. i think it will be pushed even higher one day! What a huge accomplishment, big thanks Aniol and Sven for coming out definitely made me feel more comfortable in there with them around, to pull off pushing a river this scale its real nice to have a couple Jedi's along! I would have been pushing my mental comfort level to the near limit in a few spots but having these guys around was super calming. And mega thanks to my boy Harry for sacking up and coming too, was nice having one of my closest buds and another mortal there with me, Stikine training going strong we got some seriously sick rivers ahead of us buddy guy! ive written this as a bit of journal entry so i can remember the details of the run but also to remember what was going on in my head and how i was feeling out there because i find to often I forget about these kinds of details and its nice to write it down while its still fresh in my head, I really wish i did this for every river ive run over the past 7 years that wouldve been pretty cool to look back on! anyways if you've made it this far im sorry my thoughts rambled for so long but if you haven't yet, go paddle the Clearwater, it truly is the futa of BC!
Wow nice, pretty stout section!
This looks to be a mish mash of video from different runs/ water levels. Weak editing to say the least.
And an even weaker comment. Its not so bad considering I put this together in 15 minutes, if you actually read the description it would tell you every thing you need to know and then you wouldn't have the need to comment something super dumb :)
@@piercehuser229 Your description says nothing about a compilation. Claiming you spent 15 minutes working on this only backs up my argument of weak editing. As far as the personal attack goes let me return the favour. That's some of the worst paddling technique I've ever seen, go back to class III and work on it.
@@boddysurferlol shut the fuck up man. You’d probably have a fucking stroke before successfully exporting a video on iMovie. This dude rips harder than you ever will on and off the water and your tiny little cock and ego can’t handle it. Disappointing comment. Let’s see your clips there brotha I’ll rate them between shit and dogshit. Genuinely laughing to myself at an edit of you giving your best performance I bet it’s weaker than fuck compared to this 😂
@@boddysurferI think I shit myself laughing within 5 secs of watching a video of you kayaking 😂
@@boddysurferlol shut the fuck up man. You would probably have a stroke trying to export a clip on imovie
Loved it! Thank you.
Is this the Raft that is near Vavenby/Clearwater area? Looks like it. If so, I was able to paddle it back in 1999 when I was doing mapping in the area as part of my master's thesis...maybe the best summer of my life.
@@noahnsal it most definitely is! What a trip down memory lane!
Sick Creek
Hey Pierce, when you paddled the Billygoat where did you like the seat? I’ve been playing around with mine and can’t quite figure out if it’s better forward or back from center in this boat.
would've loved to hear the water rushing and crashing, even with the music
Not this music though 😂
one of the best
Is this the upper upper?
this is the entire Clearwater river from the lake down!
maaan you got style 🙌 It's really nice to watch you paddle

I'm definitely making a trip to run this. Looks epic. What's the level?
thats real close to 1300 cms, I'd recommend starting a lot lower before dropping in at High High water!
got style! nice vid
Nice vid, I’d rather hear the river.
i kindly beg to differ

The last 2 minutes of this video were my absolute favourite
I couldnt agree more Shred... the most fire kayaking ive seen in a while. He went so deep the gopro went black for 2 whole minutes...
😂
shred i was hoping you'd watch till the end for the surprise 🍆 pic;)
Curious on your thoughts of the puffy. I have paddled mine a handful of times. Not sure what to think of it. I love the outfitting of waka. I will say that.
Yo! puffy is the boat! favourite weapon in the quiver easy, the extra stern volume definitely makes it more sturdy than the original!
the sauce slaps
yeeee dog!! time for a return!

That is a fantastic edit Peirce! Great music and tight cuts. Really captures the hectic pace of that run. And your flow is 🧈
