Every time I listen to it, I can't help but feel as though it connects to a past life I can't fully remember, but one that feels incredibly familiar. The nostalgic sound and the emotions it evokes take me back to a time and place that feels like it could have been my own-Japan in the 1980s. It’s like the music is speaking directly to my soul, unlocking memories and feelings I can’t quite explain, but that I know are part of me. Dying inside by lazygod and CartierGod (they sampled this if any is interested) the song is so beautiful the instrumental is so beautiful I remember tripping on this it was such a magical experience after that I never really felt like the same person a part of me died in that world and a new person hatched it's so sad we might never get to understand how the person next to us might feel I just want to share this beautiful feeling with everyone around me.

This song and video are so beautiful in every way. Ethereal. It feels so ethereal. When I listen, I can feel my soul lift ever so slightly and drift away to a nicer place. Somewhere more peaceful than here, where I can feel calm. A time and place I have yet to experience. Somewhere still unknown to me, but even so, I feel such familiarity. Anemoia maybe... I'm sure I've felt it before. Even though this is the first time I've heard this song, I'm sure that it's been with me throughout certain things I've experienced. Such as when I still was just a young girl and I would swim at the local pool, and through the few, small and rectangular windows, ever so often, the warm evening sun would shine through. As I was swimming through these few streaks of sunlight, the water would seem so untouched. I kept swimming and swimming; I could not get enough. It felt as if I was the only one there. I could only see the sunlight, the clear bubbles of air flowing to the top, my bleak skin making way for more water, and the feeling of complete and utter relaxation. When I was under, all I could hear was the echo of nothingness all around me, except for when I went up for more air. Then I could hear the distant talking from the corridor. Because of the water's gentleness, it would feel like a warm, healing blanket was wrapped all around my young body. The feeling I'm trying to describe is one you could only feel in the moment, or in an eternal dream one could only wish for. When you get to experience it, which can be whenever, you feel so unknown and so familiar at the same time. You might feel lost, even though everything is experienced as another level of calmness and peace. You can feel your body become light when you go under, still you get the feeling of sinking deeper down. Such a strange way of experiencing something so forgotten. You might not even remember it ever again. But even so, as strange as it was, it made everything so familiar. I hadn't thought of this moment in a long time, but when I listen to this song, I can feel it again. It makes me able to imagine myself in that same pool, at the same place, at the same time, feeling exactly what I felt way back then. The utter peace and relaxation that this ethereal song brings to my soul is indescribable. If I only could stay there forever... Staying in the sweet sunlight streaks made me feel so blissful. The feeling I felt when laying underwater while the tender sun gently caresses my young skin, it can be described as angels lifting my pure soul into a softer, healing place. I feel lost when thinking about it, but at the same time, I feel as at home as ever. When my soul goes out, I hope I get to go back to that feeling, where it can echo in all eternity so that I can feel complete relaxation. A place I only see in my dreams when my mind is someplace untold. Water, please wrap around my tender skin so to keep me unharmed. Protect my pureness and hold my soul reserved for another like mine. Keep the essence of my being swept away by the uncertain waves. Water, make me wait for one extraordinary. Is there a hand made only to fit mine? Water, feel me close and treasure my tender soul.

This song is a great analogy for vaporwave/nostalgia. Instead of feeling nostalgia for something you've never experienced, you feel sadness for memories you have never experienced.

i used to listen to this during some of the best times ive ever had in my life before things became so utterly shit again by my own doing. it makes me so nostalgic and makes me long for that genuine happiness and confidence i felt that i destroyed and now life feels shit and meaningless and empty and sad again. I wish i could go back cuz this song makes me feel the warmth of how happy i was back then and all the amazing memories i made during that time. Memories.
