hmm good old capitol rush and 1 hero only, used to play that way when i was 10 years old :D good memories. People actually still play this game online in 2025. the meta nowadays is that you almost never build the capitol. you get 8 heroes asap and you use them to clear map and gather resources. you don't really even build army in the town after second week. it is all about getting army, gold, and artifacts from creatures banks on the map and start snowballing. what you build is mage guild to get town portal and dimension door asap. It requires a lot of game knowledge and skill to be good at it. way different game than how we played it as kids but its also very fun and nostalgic. check out the H3 HotA for more.

It's true that he followed every normal and required step to get to the Capitol, but there are some key points to be had: leave just the starting hero, don't hire any other hero because it's 2.5k and it will delay your Capitol, rush for resources, lumber, ore and gold, avoid tough fights because you'll lose troops, only easy fights. That's pretty much it.

Wow, completing all requirements to build the Capitol actually allows you to build it. Who could've thought... xD Would've been a lot harder to do so on higher difficulties with far less starting gold. But capitol isn't really rushed in professional games anyways. Fun tutorial though, made my day xD

I always prefer to build mages guild on day one, spellbook for hero, and one creature generater (depending on city, harpy hags is op, def. that for dungeon, but elves for forest is best.,so you boost your capability of combat, from the beginning and only after that you build asap capitol. Capitol in W2 D1 or 2 is completely fine. And build a second hero immediatly, he/she will get you much needed troops in the beginning and can gather its own costs back easily.

Interesting to see someone still playing scenarios on complete instead of Hota. GL and HF !
