[DKCR] 8-1 Furious Fire in 51.32 (WR)
There were small timelosses littered throughout this run, with the biggest one being me playing the part after the checkpoint extremely safe (I barely get the double pound on the gong.) I did manage to fluke the damageless strat at 42 seconds on the first opportunity I got. I can push this to a very low 51 but I'll probably wait for it to be beaten.

Got pretty lucky getting this on my first completed run with the new trick. Took about 8 hours to get. Decent zigzag but I omitted the beginning roll save. 34 is possible but I'll leave it for later.

Took a few days to get 31-100 on purpose... Wasn't planning on uploading progress for this level but this moment was just too funny not to post.

Very good level gameplay-wise apart from the ending. Got there from 0 after 30k attempts, then proceeded to die there 34 times (I won't list all the deaths here but my worst death was 94 and I also got 87x11), so my luck was once again abysmal. I'd mention some of the earlier hard clicks but they all became easy in the end. 41767 attempts in total, and I'd give this a 7/10. My reaction was loud...

The new strat at 1:21 in-game time (found by @KananIsMyBae) typically saves .6 or .7, although theoretically it can save more. Unfortunately it completely sucks and ruins the level, as I would only get it about 5-10% of the time and you have to wait forever to even attempt it. The roll at 40 seconds was done 2 frames late and I assume the section with the giant crusher can also be improved. Happy to get this so quickly though.

Would've been a real struggle to get record here until I realised we'd all been sleeping on the first enemy room route from the TAS. The penultimate enemy causes a pacelock since you have to wait for it to jump to be able to reach the final enemy but it still ends up being faster (don't know by how much though and it sort of depends how good you are at the old route.) This run had small mistake...

The beginning of this run was questionable; I lost two frames before grabbing Diddy and the second zigzag jump (at 9 seconds) was very delayed. The ending was done extremely well though, incorporating the damageless strat from the TAS, which saves .28 if done perfectly (it's pretty hard to optimise though). Very nearly fluked this level from 54 but died to the last click, which ended up being my only death past 58. Thankfully didn't die there again.

My 20th extreme demon! Of all the ones I could've picked... This level really doesn't fit my skillset (I only chose it as a joke) but the gameplay is alright. I did die way too many times at stupid percentages like 60 and 65 though, which made this take a bit longer than necessary. Worst death was 77 which had literally never happened to me in practice, then fluked the level from there. As for ...

I really like the theme and song for this level but the gameplay does get very boring if you don't beat it quickly. No major issues with it overall though and it definitely fits my skillset. 7/10 and 7579 attempts.

Died at Pennutoh's part about 15-20 times trying to get this run. I would say getting this was about as hard as Yatagarasu. Not using in-game music unless I'm playing from 0 as I don't want to get used to the lack of desync when playing from start positions (caused by lag and smooth fix) then get screwed over by muscle memory when playing from 0.

The second half of this level was really painful to learn but other than that this was a smooth experience. This has possibly the best sync of any extreme demon in this game which made the click pattern super easy to memorise, not to mention the satisfaction of actually being able to click in time with the music (which is not the case for 99% of GD levels). I definitely could've fluked this too...

I can hardly beat 8-7 in two hours. You can beat the whole game in two hours. This is a tough game, congrats on this amazing speedrun!
Leah like femboys? Am I the only one noticing those cowbig letters? 😅 Not that it's wrong liking femboys (maybe same here, but more be liking girl tomboys?), I just don't expect it under a speedrunning video being there like a 100% (and it's kinda hard not to look at it). ...I like gothic girls and sometimes hippie girls tho 😶

I loved that game when i was younger. Spent a lot of time replaying the levels to get all the collectibles. Watching the same game beeing played at this level is hilarious. Awesome run !

There are multiple levels harder than Kenos that I'd much rather play than Kenos. I'm a bit tired of spending close to 100k attempts on levels though so I'd rather just get better before I try them.
My reaction time is good but not that good (I myself used to play GD lite on mobile but I've kinda stopped playing over the years)
This isn't a matter of reaction time, it's just pure timings and muscle memory

Did you ever notice the Death Abuse I used rightpast 0:43? I think It does save a little time if done properly.
It saves about 8 frames and requires a frame perfect roll at 39 seconds. This level isn't optimised enough for that sort of strat to be introduced.

@@minusonetwelfthmy closest was 1:04.50 cause I kept slipping up during the middle section and the giant boulder at the end ruined a couple closer runs, forgot to record them cause I was so exhausted by the end but I’ll probably try again sometime.
