We came out with this new version in response to making a better product for our customers. This version uses sealed, stainless steel, ball bearings which makes it very easy to rotate. It also works on 99% of the cans globally. We would love it if you gave us another try just make sure its the LIFT Universal that you order and not the current.

a mistake i was making was holding the can to tightly or holding the can in the middle instead of at the bottom. try to hold the can at the bottom and rotate and that should do the trick :)

@@TheDraftTop What is the intent? Cans already have a hole in them. Why would a vendor want this instead of just popping the top?

@@packtloss the intent is to give the vendor the ability to serve a draft like experience where draft is not an option. Even where draft is an option at stadiums, the lines are very long and sometimes people won't wait to get a beer. Many venues are dropping the single use plastic cups and handing out cans because of this. Drinking from a can through the traditional hole is like a sippy cup for adults where your nose is not apart of the aroma. Opening the top completely offers the ability to smell what you are drinking which directly effects your taste. It also allows for the beverage to be drank versus sipped. From a venue safety standpoint, the topless can checks the same box as an open cup which cannot be thrown as a projectile.

Hi Matt, yes, the left handle is for leverage when closing the right handle. The reason for this is because the can needs to be gripped tight in order for the mechanism to open it properly. We found that trying to clamp it without the left handle for leverage results in the tool tipping a little when pushing the right side closed. So the complete operation locks the can and then automatically unlocks it at the bottom of the stroke, which releases the can.

Its why most people don't enjoy drinking out of cans. - if you like a lime or orange in your beer, the open top actually allows you to squeeze it in versus over the aluminum top - the open top prevents the "glugging" that makes you full when drinking from cans - stadiums serve open top, single use, plastic cups for beer and other drinks where most people are not concerned about spilling them. can't throw a beer at someone that's has the top removed like this. the contents will spill out if thrown. Great for safety at events

Nope. No metal scrapings. The proprietary cutting mechanism is designed to leave a safe dull drinking surface so you can enjoy the beer can like its a pint glass.

This would be more of a want/preference .. making your food and drink aromatic does improve the taste......

Less full and bloated since the open top eliminates the vacuum or "clugging" that normally occurs when drinking from the small sippy cup opening of a normal can.

its the same top that your lips normally touch when drinking from the can the old way.

@@TheDraftTop I was gonna say it would have been better to have it come off the other way if you could maybe put some sort of suction cup or a hook that goes behind the pull tab so after it does the cut the top is removed with the device

Hello, great observation and question. However, you would be surprised to find out that its not easily crushable after its open as the pressed factory rim provides rigidity to the can and also a safe smooth drinking surface. When the can is full of liquid, it also provides back pressure on the inside walls of the can.

We find that if you push down on the tool slightly while using it, this should eliminate any adverse outcomes. @@TheDraftTop Oh wow. That's perfect. I will have to get 2 has my son is training to be a barman and I built him his own bar in his room. This would go great with his tools!

But.... the tab makes drinking from the can equivalent to an adult sippy cup. Which is why no one enjoys drinking from cans. When the aluminum top blocks your sense of smell, it directly effects how the beer tastes. Give it a try, its a far better experience when pouring it into a glass isn't an option.
