I love Instagram as a professional and user. I do find it quite hard to get engagement on a business page though. Getting comments from customers/followers is tough. But hearing you say community over viral is much better news 😂

I’m also social media manager in the beauty industry (although I like to call myself a creative cause I really be doing that 😂) my boss knows rather a lot about Instagram and it’s very good at it. She runs her own personal page and it’s nice because it means we are on the same page a lot. My previous job the bosses didn’t really understand social media and were stuck in the graphic ads on Facebook and Instagram age. Which made my job ultimately not as enjoyable, although easy haha. So it does pay to have a boss who knows mostly what they are doing, they are just time poor

What’s the longest video you can upload on Instagram ? I believe it’s 3 minutes but I saw a big creator upload a 6 minute one. I made my first 3 minute reel the other day so curious to know if they might feature with the long form promotion

Completely with you on MRR! It is a complete scam and to “succeed” (if you can call it that), you have to be a victim of the scam and then make other people the victim. Also they always target people’s vulnerabilities - icky!

When doing advertising on platforms like tiktok doing a twist on a popular trend or even just using a popular audio is legitimately an amazing way to get your foot in the door. But as you rightly said it’s not going to make your target audience stay, or think your product or whatever you’re marketing is better. That’s where more genuine content comes in. It’s a bit of a balancing act of wanting people to watch you for the right reason. And wanting people to actually watch you. I hope you find success in your marketing strategy and wish you good luck!

Tbf this is a good point - as a viewer i prefer what i'm watching to not seem so rehearsed and 'perfect', as then it just seems like any other promotional video - and will not catch my attention. Gotta love a more personalised style of video 🙂
