Yes. Changing the way you talk about these issues is impotent to meet the masses. The vocabulary used is intelligent however isolate and turns people away. Say the word feminism to someone starting the journey can turn them away bc of how that word has been branded.

He also talks a lot about personal responsibility and not waiting for others to change or an authority to step in. I’m an open minded recovering capitalist. This is helping me understand a different way of viewing the world. It feels like Our actions today are for the next generation. And we have to do our best not to handicap ourselves in our current reality while building toward the reality we need. This is absolutely batshit insane. The mere fact that these people have zero shame in announcing themselves as communists is simply beyond parody. Imagine the outcry if someone came on and self-identified as a fascist with zero irony. A couple of interesting points were made, but there was limited nuance in trying to understand hooks' perspective. However, there was plenty of selective nuance to back up the podcasters one-sided perspectives. For example, one of the most problematic monologues on here is the podcaster dragging his Indian ex-wife to make a point about "Patriarchal Women". The one-sidedness in recounting that particular interpersonal rupture said more about him and his toxic patriarchal behaviours than the ex-wife. This discussion would have been much more insightful if their were womxn esp. Black womxn involved. These podcasters missed the main objective of the book; they need to reflect on and acknowledge their own toxic internalised patriarchal behaviours. Stop pointing the finger e.g. the ex-wife and critique yourselves! P.s. the use of that horn 😑

I read the Kybalion before reading Hegel and I would highly recommend that approach to anyone who is interested in Hegel but hasn’t engaged his text yet. The most efficient way to learn Hegel.

When Marxists are selling Marxism do they distribute the profits to the workers, or just pay them their agreed wage? Do Marxists ever have business success, and if they do, do they reject the profits of their investment of time, risk and labor, in their own business? Or do they only want to seize others' profits? Curious for any examples of successful Marxists in business who created jobs and wealth for their community.
