Hello mam!.. this would still has been a dilemma for me for a long time 😶 please now please only you could get me out of this! I'll put my queries one by one. 1) Mm she *WOULD or WILL* be washing clothes right now (assumptions in the present moment without thinking or offhand ) 2) Mm..She *WOULD/MUST/WILL have been sleeping that's why she didn't open the door yesterday *( here also I'm making some assumptions but with firm logic because she didn't open the door so i want her to be in the positioned of sleeping 😅 I mean I don't know but we have to sometimes just have to say for the sake of SAYING for no reason why we're giving reason without proof but it just should not be illogical)* 3) Suppose i visited a palace with my friends and i see some pieces of jewelry of the queen now i say to my friend "Hey buddy look at this, how pretty the queen must have been or would have been when she wore/wears/or even would have wore" My dilemma and confusion is here I'm having to use modal in both clause i mean i feel like using here so I know i could be wrong so here i have "ZERO PROOF" seeing jewelery can i describe that situation i want to express it? 4 ) MUST NOT OR COULD OR CAN NOT ? "No he must not have been because last night he was out town" Or "No he could or can not have been because last he was out of town" Here i really can't recognise difference and even i don't think there should be any specific difference but still i have to understand all of these one by one 🙏 Thanks in advance 💯
Hi there, 1. You have used the phrase ‘right now’, it is referring to the tense present continuous, whereas “will be washing” refers to the future continuous. She is washing clothes right now - is the correct answer. If you want to use the future continuous which is used for actions in progress or a specific time in the future the sentence might look like 'she will be washing clothes later' OR 'she will be washing clothes at 5pm' 2. You are making an assumption about the past , so you can’t use ‘will’ as it refers to the future. This is only a suggestion, it is better to use the word MIGHT or MAY as MUST is a strong belief, 100 % confident that the person did this. - She might/may have been sleeping, that’s why she didn’t open the door yesterday 3. If you only imagine that you visit the palace, you can use the second conditional for expressing imaginative situations - How pretty the queen would be, (IF) she wore that jewellery. You might like to watch our videos about using conditionals to understand rules better. 4. Must not (mustn’t) is a direction not to do something, like you mustn’t walk on the grass in the park. If we are describing the past, we can’t use ‘can’. In this sentence “could not” is the right answer, - no, he could’ t have been there because he was out of the town last night. In this sentence we think that it's not possible that this happened. Hope this helps )
Good lesson and fluency!
Thank you! )
I would like to see your next lessons. Thank you.
Ok, thank you )
thank you, it was very useful!
Glad to hear that. Thank you )
I remember watching your lesson about the same topic before ; however, I go on listening what you're teaching ' till the end. Looking forward to the next lessons. Thank you.
Thank you) and well done using a gerund in your comment
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you )
Awesome
Thank you )
Splendid
Thank you
I have to memorize a lot of verbs followed by gerund. Any other way ?
Hi, Memorising is a hard part of learning languages, but remembering these words after which a gerund is used, can be easier if all these words are practiced in sentences. For example , I enjoy swimming, I enjoy playing computer games and so on. In this case, after the word enjoy you will automatically remember and use a gerund.
Great teacher i Need Wide Explanation In This Topic Thank You

Hello. Can we use to be going to go somewhere. I am going to go to the cinema. What is the right form?
Hello, yes , you can When we say that we are going to go somewhere we mean that we have intention ( plans) to visit this place . The structure TO BE GOING TO shows plans , the verb TO GO shows actions , so referring to the sentence we are going to go to the cinema -we have intention to go there

Hello prestigious teacher! I have a question which leaves me in bewildment. May I apply 'Being' after verbs to be to avoid any P.P come after them every time? The bridge is being built by Chinese company.
Hello thanks for watching. Yes you can, because the sentence you have written is referring to the passive present continuous tense and the most important thing is that the bridge is being built rather than by whom it is built by. Compare The Chinese company is building the bridge now (Chinese company is a subject here and the bridge is an object) The Bridge is being built now (Here the bridge has become the subject) Both sentences are present continuous, but the first is Active present continuous and the second sentence is Passive present continuous.
If you had used same examples for first and second conditionals, viewers would have understood the difference in usage better .
Thanks for watching and for the feedback. ;)
Wow! well narrated thanks
Thank you ;)
Thanks

Cry wolf This expression is used when you pretend you need help when you don't, so people will not believe you when you actually need it He's known for crying wolf about computer problems, so no one believes him when there's a real issue. A wolf in sheep’s clothing It is used when we talk about a person who appears nice and friendly, but in reality the person is dangerous or the person might be quite different in personality than they appear. That charming new colleague turned out to be a wolf in sheep's clothing, secretly causing problems for the team. Throw someone to the wolves Means to abandon or sacrifice someone to face a difficult or dangerous situation alone. He was thrown to the wolves when he had to make a difficult decision on his own. Wolf Down Means to eat food very fast When you're in a hurry to get to work, you might find yourself wolfing down your morning toast. 😊
