I remember putting in my Star Wars soundtrack CD into the computer and then setting this screensaver and just staring it--while fantasizing--as John Williams' epic scored washed over me.

This screensaver changed my life. In the ‘80s I was a machinist that programmed and operated CNC chuckers. When programming, trigonometry is use to calculate point locations so you can describe where you want the machine to move. So I’m watching this screen saver and it hit me: Anything can be calculated and/or described using math. In this case, just move one point and the whole thing changes. Mind blown. Obviously, I went to the school of hard knocks, not college. I got to figure-out much of life on my own. Never forget: Numbers don’t lie, people do.

Does anyone remember the very first version of Flying Toasters on a Mac? It was super simple, black and white and pixelated (if that's a word!) The tiny toasters flew slowly. There was nothing else.
