I don't don't what it is with me, but I watched at least five differnt videos and couldn't get it right until I found you. Rolling it like a Torah scroll helped me get it right. Thank you. Subscribed.
Love your video...I've watched it 3 times now. Everything goes well until I roll the quilt top on. It wants to wrinkle up the batting a tad (all cotton ) & the top edge definitely didn't lay flat. What kind of batting do you use? I've always floated before, but really wanted to try this method. You also mentioned something about an incline...my backing/batting has a slope upwards onto the belly bar. Thanks!
Thank you so much! You've made it so simple. I would love to see your next steps ..side basting? Prostitcher tips...
No picture on my tv
This was super duper helpful and very well explained. Thanks so much.
I'm a late comer/ newbee to long arm quilting and I wish you lived next door. Lol Thank you for an awesome and calm video. You are a great teacher and have a good sense of humor. Now a new subscriber. 😊
Wonderful technique. Also yes to more fried chicken, peas, and fried catfish!
Thank you so much! This is the best video I've seen on loading a quilt. You helped me load my quilt in minutes, not an hour or more. Everything is explained so well, I appreciate this!
Great video
I like the way you basted too… love it!
I’ve never seen a quilt loaded like that with the batting? I love it! Thank you!
Thank ypu so much for this video. This makes it look so much easier than others I have watched. Just finished setting up my longarm last night but I was very intimidated on attaching leaders and loading my quilt. This is wonderful!!!
You are the first person that has loaded a quilt that makes sense to me! Thank you so much. I am a newbie and I spend more time loading and unloading and repinning and reloading. I hate that part
If I have helped you, then that makes me VERY happy!!!
Thank you, thank you, thank you!! I've watched a billion videos and you're the only one who explained fabric to leader direction, top and bottom of quilt AND relax and enjoy. Perfection and stress are not in the recipe. God bless!
Your store is lovely! Do you still have the store in Warrenton North Carolina? I hope you have a great week!
So thankful I found this video. So much easier
It does make it easy, doesn't it?
Great video. I've never seen a quilt loaded with the batting going on the pole. Can you use that same process with a queen or king size quilt?
Hey there. I do it the same way every time. It is funny to watch the video I did 12 years ago - I have loaded 1000's of quilts the same way. Keeps the bottom square. I just like for things to be neat and we quilt for a lot of people in addition to my stuff. Thanks for watching!
Thank you. I'll try this method on a smaller quilt to start with and work my way to the bigger quilts. Take care.
Julia Child!
How fo you finish off the thread tails? Seems a lot of waste.
I just sew them in and the serger trims them.
Great tutorial! Finally a video that shows a backing fabric with a right and wrong side so I can do that correctly the first time. 😁 Thanks for making this video, I'm sure I will watch it often.
This is by far the best video I have seen about loading a long arm. From all the other videos I watched I could never tell which way the leaders were wrapped around the poles. Your video showed this. Thank you so much!
That is my issue with videos - a lot of times they don't cover all the bases and all the steps are important!!
I loved, loved, your explanation of how to load a quilt on the this frame! Best no nonsense, yet also made me smile, explanation ever! Thank you! Thank you!
Would you do a video on your threads, needle size, and bobbins where you avoid tension problems? 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
@sudiefoster5957 yes, I sure will when I'm back next week. It's long overdue!
Love your video! Very helpful!
Thank you!!! I love this way and I will give it a try on my next quilt!!!!!!
Thank you sooo much for doing this video. It was so clear how to load!!!!!
Great tutorial! Thank you 🙏 so much! I love your accent! ❤
Our Tech Matthew did a GREAT job on this video. Job Well Done Matthew!!!!
very nice
I just found you and love your comments about less is more except for fried chicken and purple hull peas!!!😊. Also love your video!
I’m very new to long arm quilting. I just got my loft frame one month ago. Will I be able to load my loft the same way that you showed in this video? And yes, I love your humor. I had a few giggles throughout this video. Thank you
Great video! I’ve never seen anyone roll the batting up with the backing, it keeps it smooth and out of the way. I’m going to have to try it!
𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐦 🌺
That was so fast but also very thorough! I feel like I understand exactly how to do it even though I never have before. Gonna have to get me one of those lanyards for sure! Thank you for the demonstration!
I have watched your original video several times and it has been my favorite tutorial on loading on my Avante. This one is just as great. Love your spirit and teaching method. I too have much more white hair and had the same type cataract surgery where I can see distance without glasses but now can’t see up close 😏. Thank you for this tutorial.
Oh no, now I’m going to have to have a serger! 🤣
I’ve had the toughest week of my life for reasons that have nothing to do with quilting. I haven’t laughed, haven’t smiled - I have barely even spoken a word. For some unknown reason today I decided to watch videos. This video popped up for me to watch. I remember watching your original video so I thought I would watch this one. Now I know why. I finally smiled. Your comment ‘just like everything else in life less is more, except fried chicken’ made me smile. That seems like a small thing, but after the week I have had it’s monumental. Thanks for a great video.
Praying for you Kathie and sending you good vibes. I hope life gets better for you soon.
Awesome instructions for those of us who are very “manual “. Appreciate it, thanks!
I visited the Quilt Lizzy in Ayden NC. It’s my new favorite quilt shops to visit when I visit NC twice a year. I love all the fabric choices at this shop and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Looking forward to future visits.
Great Commercial! Way to go!
Just a short commercial? Disappointed ☹️
Great video! Will be looking for more videos by you! Thank you!!
Thank you for this amazing video.
Thank You!…Great Video…💜
Thanks a great video, very helpful 😃
Oh boy...this is a game changer! My husband and I always quilted together and he did the loading. Now that he’s passed, I’m relearning the loading and this will be a wonderful way to get started again. Thanks so much for the wonderful video!
Great Video! Wish that I had found it years ago. My longarm just sits staring at me ... today I am ready to load my first quilt for quilting.
Perfect tutorial! Tou make it so easy to understand, plus its not a 30 minute video on how to do this. Love it! Thanks!
Wonderful tutorial! Just found your channel, and am so glad I did!
Love from Milano’s crews...
Time to do this class again :-)
