As a middle daughter who was raised by single mother, after the parents divorced each other, I don’t even know what to feel my heart aches from the lack of love from my mom and from the absence of my father and my mind tells me to be grateful for the very fact she has decided to raise me and have not abandoned me like my Father did. I’ve always tried tirelessly though in vain to numb the feelings of loneliness, unwantedness, unfairness from my mom, but sometimes I can’t hide or deny them any longer so I cry my eyes out when I’m alone. To avoid those feelings I try to convince myself that I’m actually privileged and I should be grateful. I remember I recently have had a wave of those feelings and I was very broken and crying till my voice crack but then as usual I started telling myself “Girl what are you doing!?” Ewww! You’re still there!😡 You should’ve stopped caring about her or expecting love from her long ago. Now you’re 22 you’re too old to cry for attention and love from her(mom) plus there’s no such thing as “Small love”, just be thankful for the little love you receive and live your life matter of fact you should love her and help her because she’s your mother she has struggled to raise you and your siblings, so I was like aggressively “Okay?!” Then I was like hesitantly “Okay” And I can honestly tell you nothing other than this part of me makes weak and cry. I’m very tough, strong, diplomatic and flexible girl when dealing with other aspects of my life. ( even though I also severe sympathy problem which makes me put other people’s problems/feelings before mine). But This has been my weakest point which I couldn’t move on from since I was a child. I can’t definitely summarize my entire experience in one comment, but I will leave one messages for those parents who care about their children’s emotional and mental wellbeing: Please parents be fair and loving to all of your children. Remember you may have a lot of children, but the child has onlyYOU as Mom or Dad. Children don’t have the privilege to have favorite mom and whole lots of less favorite mom’s or favorite dad and a lots of other less favorite dads, children have only YOU as their parents so please be good to your children and most importantly be fair to them (don’t discriminate, don’t have favorites and less favorites), Don’t make the most simple and free things like the most sophisticated and expensive things for them, don’t distort their balance and make them think love is very expensive and rare commodity which they will never be worthy of, don’t make seeing you Smile at them or hearing simple word like you are clever or good from you their highest unachievable dreams, don’t trim their wings before they even learn the fact that they have wings and are meant to fly and live freely. ❤

I would encourage you to research the original General Motors Futurama (created by famed industrial designer Norman bel Geddes) for the 1939 New York World's Fair, and the General Motors Futurama II at the 1964 New York World's Fair (designed by the General Motors Styling Staff) as incredible examples of large scale diorama design, presentation and construction and ride conveyance technologies. Both exhibits were seen by millions of people and predated Disneyland, Disney World and EPCOT rides and pavilions.

Being the middle child makes you funny. I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of comedians are the middle child. I think being the middle child can give you a great sense of humour cause you can think outside the box and look at things in a humourous and off-kilter way. Growing up with less clearly defined expectations as your other siblings probably makes a lot of middle children the funny one in the family. 😁

I’m the middle child when I was a kid I wasn’t sociable because I was too dumb to talk to pears at school, some people even judged me for not speaking, and I didn’t easily get friends in elementary school due to my lack of communication. By the time I was in high school in grade 9, I started to talk to my friends that I got in my science class, this all started after I had a crush on a boy in English class. That’s when I really wanted friends and talking to anybody, the more I talk the more friends and people I earned. But the boy that I mentioned that I had crush on, sadly he didn’t like me though, so I completely forgot about him and move on. But lucky news was that there was a another boy that became friends with me, he helped me. I got a friend when I was in elementary school, when I first came to her house , I was 9 at that time I was too shy to talked to her. Now I’m in high school, I met her again when I was in grade 10 after Covid. Me and my friend did fun things together. Now I’m in grade 11, I have another story to tell you, I had a crush on a boy from Ukraine but my heart felt a bit tempted but I sit still and listen to kpop to not make it obvious. Also one more story to tell you, when I was in grade 8, I had a crush on a boy from South Korea but I didn’t know him as much. I had lot of help at home and at school.

Being in the middle feels like you don’t exist when actually you do. For example Korea is sadly overlook by some people if it compare to Japan and China. Which makes Korea feel like it’s stuck in the middle or is a sandwich between Japan and China. Korea will count as a certified middle child (not to offend anybody who’s Korean).

Middle child with an an avoidant attachment style. I just deal with my personal issues by myself. My older and younger brothers took up much of mom’s time and attention and I was left to just deal with stuff on my own. Mom never reach out to me or asked me how I was doing. Heck, she doesn’t even know what my favorite music, movies or TV shows are. 😢

U of R is a school for the B minus children of the upper middle class. It has no name recognition beyond the Inland Empire, and will not open any doors for you. If all you're seeking is a plain vanilla degree and money is no object, then Redlands will do, but so will dozens of other liberal arts colleges. Do not go into debt to attend Redlands. Rather look at state universities which will offer an education as good or better, & cheaper. It does have a pretty campus, though.

I had an interesting experience growing up as the middle child where I had a very stereotypical experience up until my older brother enlisted in the navy and left. I suddenly became the older kid in the family in high school and a little after. Kind of a strange flip and with my older brother gone so much it feels like I'm the older brother in the family and my older brother has moved on, detaching himself from the family dynamic
