Decided to save my back and time and pulled the trigger on a Land Pride Quick Hitch. The QH 16 was recommended for my Kubota B2601. Pays to shop around saved over $200. Sadly it received some damage during shipping.

Neighbors kindly lent us their brush hog. First time using the PTO first time using a brush hog. Had a slight hiccup when I hit something hidden in the weeds but all in all it went well.

Very encouraging signs no wax moth hive is clean and healthy with queen sighted brood, eggs, pollen and honey storage. Hiving and thriving this was a tough fight .

Received a lovely surprise from our friends hopefully this will give us some warning of impending serious weather events so we can have sometime to batten down the hatches.

The most encouraging sign we’ve had with this struggling hive in a very long time. New bees taking orientation flights showing us they are starting to move in the right direction after all the issues this hive has had.

Having huge issues with gophers. Have been skunked a few times decided to deploy both methods. All I'm saying is we have some smart gophers here in Arizona!

New Queen released 13 days previously. Wax moth still present can this colony survive all these trials? We have some positive developments.

After the wax moth catastrophe and with the hive in such bad shape we set about re queening and trying to clean up the hive. We pulled and cut out all the infested comb and continue to clean inside the hive to rid it of larvae and moths. In this video we receive the new queen install and release her and continue to deal with issues. We do have some success and positive things happen.

Had to get the girls sheared as we are heading into serious summer heat.

Using the Kubota to turn our manure piles and tidy them up.. Had to use differential lock a few times when the wheels were spinning. I also show the radiator screen and how I clean it off if it gets debris caught in it.

Went in to check how the new Queen was doing. Was greeted by a wax moth invasion of the hive majority of the comb compromised and no queen or any evidence of one with brood or eggs.

Had to put fresh dirt in the horses stalls and fix all the holes low spots and uneven ground. Kubota B2601 came in handy and saved me a lot of carting dirt. The quick hitch also came in handy as I had to change out the bucket for pallet forks.
