yo what riffs are you playing at the start? specifically 2:30. shit goes hard
Oh thank you, this is a riff I wrote for this demo
Ghosts of TIMARUow
I've been looking for this information for ages, thanks mate. You've made a disgracefully ageing metalhead very happy. I'm off to make happy chuggy noises now
@restojon1 Fantastic, glad I could help. Hope you have a blast
🎸 love the song that you used to test out amps and I also love the intro. 🎸
What the hell is a reactive load box
Lol it's the name of the product - Two Notes Torpedo Captor Reactive Load Box 8 ohm. Marketing team hit a home run there.
You can also use no cab and just use front of house and stage monitors or in ears if your whole band is on in ears. Also if you need to change channels on your plugin, your focus rite or equiv needs a midi input. Midi to usb cord wont work
That's a great point, thanks for the tip!
Well shit... No need to upgrade. I do believe the EMGs sounds more wider. But, heck the stock pickups sounds mean too!
Pretty much sounds like a 5150 to me
@laynefuller Yup! Certainly has some of those qualities w the gain higher up.
Can i do it without torpedo on my Laney Cub12r?
Hhmm, only if the Laney cub has a dummy load/silent record feature
Your screamer, he is top notch
@@arlo957 thanks for watching! I agree, he did a great job \m/
ROCK ON!!!!!!

dude thank you
Happy to help
It's perfect! 👍🤗
Thank you! 😃
I never knew there was an I in heart.
There's also a T in see you next tuesday
Bog boy sounds best I even played it thru headphones so I could hear the differences ..the real big boy took it to the bank all day
Ah yes good to check it out through headphones! Yeah to me it's the most full sounding out of the three. Thanks for watching!
Awesome shootout man, have to agree with Cam, the big boy sounds best, but what a great comparison. great job.
Thanks Evan! Yeah I do enjoy the bit amp alot, it's one of those bits of gear I'd never sell
Pretty intriguing. Still prefer the big boy especially when double tracked but the plug in was not as obvious as I thought
Yeah I reckon you can still hear differences but the other two keep up really well!
Tip: You can also use a solid state amp combo without an effects loop in/out. Just plug in to the amplifier's aux input (the 3.5 mm jack which you can plug in your phone for music playback). Technically, this is a return input because it bypasses the preamp.
Sweet! thanks for the tip!
Lead guitar amazing abisss
Riddle: What can you hear? And what can hear you? KORN
What if my amp doesn't have an fx loop it's just two low and high inputs
It should still work if you can make your amp as clean / neutral soubding as possible
@@mikemitchell7529 i tried but man it's fuzzy as hell there's a lot of noises if i don't turn the noisegate to max
@@potatosalad6948 Is the Cab Sim on the plugin off? Make sure you turn that off. Also alot of plug-ins have their own noise gates built in, you should be able to switch that on.
@@mikemitchell7529 i tried multiple neural dsp plugins, turned off the cab each time and enabled the noise gate, the noises disappeared, but the sound is still a little bit weird when doing some chugs or riffs
@@potatosalad6948 Hmmm, are you in a position to borrow a friend's amp that has an effects loop? That would at least isolate to see if it's your amp.

Thank you!
Awesome dude! Seriously good music
Thank you so much!
Awesome work 👏
Thank you Ben! :)
How do you edit your takes if its like i mean a real amp the wave form is like a thick brick. Is there a way to have the DI at the same time
@ripperthecrooks6428 Yes, you're correct. You'd need a reamp box. That way you can record a D.I then send it back through the amp once you've found a tone you like. Something I don't have I'm afraid
@mikemitchell7529 so you play through an amp sim and then you use that.DI track to reamp your amp
@@Driven2Beats For this example I plugged the Amp into the load box, load box into the interface. Then I used an IR response in my DAW. I didn't do any re Amping, ie I got the tone I liked before recording anything, then hit record knowing I can't change any Amp settings later. I'd have to buy a Reamp box for that. Hope that helps clear it up :)
@mikemitchell7529 yeah okay but like if you double track you're gonna probably have to edit the takes, so you need a clean DI to edit and then reamp it anyways right?
@@Driven2Beats Yes, if you want to record a DI first, then pass it through the amp for a better tone later you need a Re-amp box
Great cover!
@@chipoko1838 Thanks for watching!

kickass!!!!
Thank you!
Too much artificial top end fizz on the sim for me.
@@justinroark6534 Fair enough I understand what you mean
Does the passive voice change the feel also or just the sound
@VIB1ON I'd say it changes the feel, you can dig in w your picking hand and it makes more difference to the output in my opinion
I actually prefer the crisp clarity of the sim
Yes I'm the same to be fair
Thanks bruh
Good vocals MIKE !! Like 7

very nice, great cover! 🍻
Thanks for listening!
Sounding brutal dude! I knew you were going to cover Whitechapel, I just didn't know witch song it was going to be.
🤣 you got me loling
Nice vid. I hate when pick up demos don’t isolate the guitar tracks and play to a backing track the whole time. You did it the right way
Thank you, I appreciate that! They're great pick ups
@@mikemitchell7529 do you like them, EMG 81’s or Fishman Fluence Moderns better?
@@ericcartman1251 For me personally on a 7 string, I love the Blackouts. However, I'd love to try the Fishman moderns as I have them on my favorite 6 string guitar. I had the Emg 81-7 and wasn't for me.
@@mikemitchell7529 oh really? I just ordered an EMG 81-7 lol I hope I enjoy it as much as I think I will, why didn’t you enjoy it? I have another 7 with Fishmans and I really like those in a 7
FUCKIN SLAYER !!!!
😂 \m/
How the DSL1 keep up against your Laney and PRS? Thanks, nice sound.
It is great for a home practice tone but doesn't compare beyond that. You wouldn't gig w it
@@mikemitchell7529 I mean, studio recording wise and just playing at home with good tones without having cops called on my back, I'm not into gigging. Thanks man.
Ah! I see, in that regard the Marshall sounds great on its own for recording, it has that nice crunchyness to it when palm muting. Compared to the Laney though, the Laney has much more headroom(especially for cleans). Of course that's due to it being a musher higher watt amp. Both are fun!
@@mikemitchell7529 Thanks! I'm brazilian, also budget wise this is a proper subject for me, and the Marshall of course deliver big time, but it's nice to know info from someone that can have "more" access to expensive, bigger (maybe, better) stuff and how those cheap stuff can be "comparable". Thanks!
Hate Made Me Please!!!!!
Hopefully one day! I personally like the idea of Fuelset
@@mikemitchell7529 CockTease is another good one as well. I am from NZ myself
Thanks for the video, Mike. I'm now running Guitar Rig 7, and I have wanted to run through my 4X12 cabinet for some time. I used to have a Peavey 120/120 Classic power amp in my rack eons ago (took up 4 rack spaces), which had 6L6 tubes. I would love to have one of those to run through. But I'm seeing and reading that solid state is preferred over tubes? I'd think the tubes would work great and get you some nice feedback when desired.
In sure what you have will still work great! The only reason I suggest solid state over tube power amp is that these plugins normally have a tube power amp simulation on as well.
They made 2 ugly colour options for there. Otherwise I would have bought one.
I have 2 of them...I love them
Great value for money
The Bantamp Zombie Wins for sure 🥂🔥
Please can you help,I have Nux Mg 30 multi effects processor and my audio interface is Focurite Scarlett Solo 3rd Gen...Is it ok to conenct the LMono point or R point of the output section of Mg 30 using a guitar cable to the Focurite Solo while another guitar cable is connected from the Input point of the Mg 30 to my guitar??I have tried though and it sounds muddy or experiencing delays, I use Reaper Daw..So LMono or R section of output from Nux mg 30 what do you suggest?? I use studio headphones..If the headphone is conencted directly from the mg 30 it sounds really nice but whenever I connect the headphone to the Focusrite scarlett it sounds pretty delayed in signal..
Sorry for the late reply, hhmm I'm not familiar w that pedal but shouldn't you be able to go from guitar to input of your pedal, then output of your pedal to input of your focus rite. If your getting lag, you need to change the buffer settings in the audio part pf your computer.
