Thelonious Monk (1952) [SWEET AND LOVELY]
Please put the ending up!!
Thanks a lot for this share 🙂
Interesting that there is no charlie parker solo on this recording
Julian Adderley played alto sax as good as it has ever been played...
Best trumpet player ever! 🥰
I wish I was born earlier and was able to experience thie magicla era!
What a great song, I love this and the renditions that came after 💖💖. What a Fantastic singer she was.
The unmistakable sound of brilliance
Great sax solo! Shame about the clunky backing …
Dave Brubeck composed it, but Miles Davis recorded it first. When Dave Brubeck recorded his own composition in April 1956, it would go on to be a jazz standard. But Davis deserves his due for recording this first.
Thanks for sharing the great music but the last track "Danny Boy" is missing
The tragedy of the song stella by starlight is there is only one stella gail russell rip angel you will never be forgotten ❤️
Genius !
Piękna piosenka 😅 Billie jest geniuszem Jazzu ❤ Druga jeszcze się nie urodziła!!! 🌷🌹🌺

I wonder what Billy Stewart thought of this... no doubt he was blown away.
Neat! Thanks for uploading this gem. 👍
Do anyone by any chance know where to find the libretto of this musical? Can't hear the last line before the verse ( starting from 1:40)
Sublime. English lyrics: Norman Gimbel
Time Capsule please - Hall of Fame and Eternity.

Cuánta ternura hay en este tema !!

👍👍👍
Best version to me
Every time Coleman plays a half dim line it makes me smile 😊
Wonderful. What key is this in?
such an underrated and beautiful singer! check out youtube video with victor feldman, stan levy, and the legendary scott lafaro!😮
I love this soo much
Love this and the innocent way she bellows. But NO ONE better than...Mahalia Jackson
such a cool tune 😎
L evidencia de que a muchos no valoran esa música hecha con ternura y la calma el sosiego y no interesa Casi nadie por lo visto, en las visitas
Mais um clássico do jazz !
Can someone tell me who owns the rights for this amazing song?
I remember now why I don't listen to Art Tatum too often - he makes you want to quit or practice 20 hours a day. Don't wanna do either one!😁
No, it's not Sassy. It's Barbara Winfield singing "If you could see me now."
I love this movie
This is why vinyl is the best.
