    Thank you for this inspiring video. I've have started pilates two weeks ago after doing yoga for a year. To me, pilates is the perfect combination of strength, flexibility, and flow! And yes, after just one session you feel the change inside your mind first and then your body 🎉 I have already feel with more energy through the day. I experience some knee discomfort (not pain) when doing high lunges though (after having knee pain for 16 years). Should I avoid this posture, or engage more the gluteus to properly align the knee? Thank you again ❤

    Just starting Pilates on doctor's recommendation after some imbalance-related injuries... have been following this video several times a week.     Can you explain about changes and impact when moving from weightlifting into pilates? I feel everyone talks about people going from 0 to pilates, but what about already fit people leaning towards pilates? Thanks!!

      Great question! What I’ve noticed with clients that have come from the weight lifting space is that they actually get a lot more precision with their execution of movement and learn to feel/fire the smaller stabilizers as well as the global movers. Plus there’s the added benefit of more mobility with a regular Pilates routine! I think the two practices really go hand-in-hand and are a beautiful compliment to each other.

    I liked this; I find it helpful to focus on lower core stabilization in this manner. I did have to add in the missed 2nd side of ball behind the knee work.

      @@noellerobertsstudio Hello Noelle, actually I am embarking on Pilates again...have not done it in a long time. But when I did I loved how it defined, toned and lengthened my body in a lean and feminine way. Not bulky looking like when I using weight. I found that using my own body weight in workouts like Pilates and Barre works better for me. Anytime I slack off working out, I aways break my body back in first with pilates because I found that it kinda preps my body. I would rather do pilates than cardio to be honest.

      Great question! All exercise is great for heart health but if you want to improve endurance and really strengthen your cardiovascular system then you’ll definitely want to incorporate some cardio training, like zone 2 cardio.

    I am new to classical Pilates and found this very helpful. I am struggling with some arm and neck soreness and found this 20 minute routine very doable. Surprisingly it helped my arm and neck (I have no idea how). That was an unexpected bonus. Thank you.

    Thanks for the variations with the chair. I think my back does better when the legs are moving towards my body rather than when I'm moving the legs away, which can cause over-arching for me.

      Absolutely get this. I have had that tendency too and bringing the legs closer to the body whenever you feel the arching begin is a smart way to work to build the strength for those longer levers WITHOUT hurting your back!

      @@noellerobertsstudio Thanks for asking! I liked the strap variations of reformer work better than the foam roller ones (although I do like using the foam roller more for upper body/under the back). I particularly like moves that strengthen the lower core without straining the lower back.

    I’ve only been doing reformer Pilates for a few weeks now and I feel amazing. I also walk every day at least a mile-10k steps. I can only do 2x a week for now but hoping I can see the results I feel soon! 💕
