@LoganSkeele, I just wanted you to know that the 1/64 1ST Gear 1955 Peterbilt 351 ordered by my oldest son Mac arrived on Wednesday. Ofcourse, he’s got it wrapped up to surprise himself for Christmas. The custom decals also arrived on Wednesday, and they’ll be placed on the selected 1/64 40’FT Great Dane reefers as soon as possible. I think that maybe a certain business from right here in my hometown of Morehead, Kentucky, got some recognition by diecast collectors worldwide. It was a construction contracting company called Jackson Builders, and they sometimes used a 1974-77 Ford WT9000 cabover day cab to pull a lowboy trailer that occasionally hauled the company bulldozer to different projects the company did in its years in business. It would be nice if DCP 1ST Gear could possibly put it out in 1/64 as part of the fallen flags series since we got the word that Jackson Builders was bought out allegedly by their worst competitor Abner Construction. Anyway, all it would take is a possible meeting between the legal departments of DCP 1ST Gear and even the Ford Motor Company to possibly get everything rolling, and hopefully it’ll be smooth sailing afterwards.

@LoganSkeele, Good review by far, and it would be nice if we could possibly get the GreenLight company to make a 1/64 scale of the Winnebago Chieftain RV named the Titanic as seen in the classic 1979-86 CBS medical drama series of “TRAPPER JOHN, M.D.” to honor the classic series’ 50TH Anniversary coming up in 2029, even if it’s in the form of a diorama that shows the Titanic with a 1/64 scale figure of its owner Dr. Gonzo Gates together with his boss, chief surgeon Dr. Trapper John McIntyre as they’re just relaxing up on the roof of the motor home, after a long round of surgery, in the rooftop lounge chairs with a folding stool serving as an end table with two goblets and a bottle of vintage wine, all in 1/64 scale down to the smallest of details. Afterall, I’ve been a fan of the late actor Pernell Roberts since he portrayed Adam Cartwright from 1959 to 1965 on the classic 1959-73 NBC western series “BONANZA”, and his portrayal of Trapper is not to be overlooked hopefully.

Has DCP MODELS stopped manufacturing the Volvo VNL 860 or is it still producing this truck?

If you happen to possibly scare up the yellow Top Shelf Replicas Mack F700 cabover, how about possibly giving thought to adding a black zigzag pattern seeing that the shade of yellow used is the same as the shirt worn by the character of Charlie Brown from “PEANUTS”?!

I wouldn't be admiring too much of the ridiculous 90 semi truck and trailers that cart around Swift's stage setups. I wish some companies would put out some 1/16 scale b model macks out. Got a white tandem axle stake bed truck. Hood opens, door open by a handle , front wheels turn. Nice tandems. Better than all the small stuff.

I never got to see "Movin' On" so......."BJ & The Bear" became my favorite - and it still is. I own one of the model rigs released by "Road Kings" but, unfortunately, I never could afford the reefer trailer. :(

When I retired from the Navy I got my CDL and went to work for Werner the next day. I checked in at their Fontana terminal and there was like 20 or 30 new hires waiting for trainers to come in. After a few hours they said they had a trainer available but he was pulling flat beds. Nobody wanted flat beds but I said I will take it. We were driving a 1999 Freightliner Classic XL identical to the one in this video and it had about 250K miles on it. Spent 30 days with that trainer, a big fat redneck from Oregon but he was one hell of a truck driver and a good guy. We were supposed to be running the 11 western but he talked our monitor into running all 48 because I was driving well and we were putting on some miles. I have to say it was quite an adventure but after my first 30 days Werner let me go home for 6 days and while there events occurred that prevented me from returning to Werner.

The DCP seems nicer overall to me. The smaller sleeper is more typical and having outriggers and cable that function is good. Big goof on the underlift, though. More money, but worth it I believe. Thanks for your extensive and detailed reviews. Very informative.

AMT never did the F series cabover. Pretty common to have 6 spoke on the front and 5 spoke on the rear.

Great video. Would be awesome to have included the Tekno and WSI versions in 1/50 scale.

I like the IXO except for the cab not tilting.

Each one has its flaws, but I like the Top Shelf’s a little better. I also like the spoked wheels on Top Shelf, don’t really care for the chrome plated ones on the IXO’s. I’ve seen many Mack’s with 6-spoke front and 5-spoke rears. I have a couple pics of such Mack’s with this setup. Cool video.

@LoganSkeele, I don’t know if you remember the classic tv series titled “CHIPS”, in season two episode two titled “THE VOLUNTEERS”, an accident at a chemical unloading depot causes Ponch and Baker to help escort three vintage International Harvester cabovers labeled Davis Chemical Trucking on the doors of the cabs. The semis in question are single axle pulling tandem axle tanker trailers, one per truck, and the trailers are loaded with chlorine gas. Now, if DCP 1ST Gear was to make a 1/64 replica of each of the trucks in question with a matching trailer to go with it, that would be nice, especially since it’s the kind of merchandise that possibly Larry Wilcox and Erik Estrada could possibly get a royalty check on.
