I'm glad I found your channel. I'm an old drummer starting in high school and taught myself many of your lessons because way back then, there were no talented instructors near where I grew up. When we went to which school band concerts/compititions, us drummers would go off on our own and trade methods.

Happy to hear you like the channel😃 It is a great thing that nowadays we can do drumlessons online. I even give them one on one through a Zoom connection. Works fantastic!

Hi. Brazilian musician here. Great technique! Though I've never heard of it? Am i broken? xD Can you show an example of where this was used in our music? Thanks

Hi thank you for the kind words 🙏🏼 If you search Steve Gadd on youtube you will see him play many cool stuff including this one. An example where this is used in a recording situation is the song Roof Garden by Al Jarreau

You’re welcome. I wouldn’t know a specific name for this one. I sometimes call it a Steve Gadd lick because it kinda is😁

    • @drumlab.online

You can never start too slow. Stay at a relaxed pace a bit longer than you would want at first. (This principle goes for every exercise btw). Counting along will add an extra difficulty in the beginning but it is key to organize our hands and feet and make them sound the best eventually. So push true the counting otherwise your hands and feet will go in every direction except the right one😁 Put in some time, stay persistent and you will get it👍
