My thoughts on some Chinese watches that I have and that I've tried some of them are good I didn't put any that I didn't like on because they were really cheap and for $1 you really cannot expect more than garbage

_"A self-defense knife."_ Everybody keeps saying that. Cold Steel markets it that way because "tactical" sells. The Spike series is an excellent EDC utility blade, it's scandi grind is a proven design. I've used a bowie spike to carve wood, clean fish and dress out small game as well as household chores like box and envelope opening, rope cutting, etc. Wearing it around my neck just made it easier to get too. Since I live in Florida it's perfectly legal although I do sometimes get some strange looks and questions. Once I explain it people tend to have that lightbulb go off and ask where I got mine,
I own this pull saw and it is awesome
I bought two, one for my belt and one for my boot. I only really carry them at night especially in the city.
I still really like it
i recently bought this saw its so awesome
Thanks for saving me money! Saw is nearly worthless.
this chips easy
Shalom. broo🇲🇽🖐️
1095 is not a high end steel it is one of the most basic knife steels available
I have this knife and like it a lot. Why would you want jimping? I bought this because it has no jimping.
For some tasks it gives you a better grip on the knife especially when wearing gloves
@@bigbeargear7448 The only time I put my thumb on that part is with thumbs assisted precision cuts. To clean up a notch or something like that, but these are not power cuts so no change of slipping off the knife. If I gut fish or butcher an animal my index finger might be on the spine to not penetrate the guts but that's the spine way beyond that point. So I really think it's just for aesthetics. I don't like unnecessary stuff on my knives.
To each his own I guess I like Jimping you don't maybe that's why you would like this knife personally I really like the knife the lack of Jimping does not take away from it
@@bigbeargear7448 Yep. To each his own. If the jimping is not aggressive and the knife is cheap might still buy it. But on the expensive knives it's a deal breaker for me. I had this discussion with a good friend. German, knife maker and hunter and he said it helps when butchering. So I watched very closely to one of his videos where he skinned and butchered a deer paying great attention to the hand position on the knife. Not once did he have a thumb or any finger on the jimping part of the knife.
I was going to offer you to try one of their other knives (f10) which in my experience were better performing knives but alas they have jimping
Just bought one, does yours also have a quite loose bit driver holder? When turning the bit itself it quite moves pretty flimsy. Scared to put some force on it.
Mine was pretty tight it has well because of the angle of the screwdriver I couldn't really put a lot of force on it to find out
I really like your honest review in your videos. Thank you a
Thank you. I tried to be honest otherwise it's not a review it's a promotion
Love the video 😍
Thanks brother
That should slice through those thickness!
Thought I wanted to get one of these, but now...not so sure. Not impressed at all.
I know but I want you to see how it does through drywood and to be honest it does very well I've been taking it with me almost every camping trip
I know i have some on the way
@@bigbeargear7448 medium teeth for dry wood, large teeth for fresh wood 🖐👍
This looks really good! And like... did you just kill your neighbor?
No i killed his teddy bear
Love the video
1502 is an old kershaw design 😊🤙🏻
It is it is also bye gec and case had a very similar one I think Kershaw came out with the that designed again two or three years ago it's a very common design where many companies do very small tweaks to it
Love this little guy 😍
Thanks bro
Nice I had missed this. Just ordered 1. Thank you.
You will enjoy it im sure 🤠
I never been good at sharpening. I can get a decent utility edge. Guess more practice is needed. Thank you for sharing!
I'm not great at it either but I think with a little more practice I will get better
Great video
Your voice fades out and I can barely hear what you are saying.
Love the video brother 😂
Thank you brother 🔥🤘🔥
Took an awfull lot of time to get through :-(
Not really for its size
Great video love the spik
Thank you brother
Thank you!
🔥🤘🔥🤘
Love it brother
thanks bro
Great review
Great video brother
thanks bro
The problem you have is caused by the sheath. The edge touches the ring in the kydec
I looked into it the edge does not touch the rings the main problem with this knife is the factory grind was a little off and when I was batoning with it in that video the piece of wood had a nail stuck in it that gave the knife a few dings
Cool looking bracelet
Very nice. Much more useable tinder than those fire cords. One strand of jute in a paracord isn’t going to last very long, I prefer your version. I made a couple a few years ago that had fishing line and hooks in them, to tell the truth I can’t remember the exact contents but I’m sure there was some other bits and bobs in them. I have one left, I’ll do a video “unpicking” and show the contents.
That sounds like a cool bracelet Let me know when its up
Love the video brother
Thanks bro 😀
I use the same system. One thing I have found is that when using the lowest setting I have to replace the red thumb screw with the spare screw that comes in the kit. The red plastic bit gets in the way. Used it quite effectively on a 8.5inch Lofty Wiseman, so I would say it does handle the larger blades quite easily.
I used it on a 10 inch blade that's where it started to be slightly problematic the sticks would come out of the hole If you use longer sticks you probably can do a longer blade And yes I have the same problem with the screws
Looks like it will do the job. Something you may not know, the two smaller blades with the Kukri, the chuckmuck is used for starting fires, like flint and steel.
And 1 is for honing/ sharpening the blade sadly most modern interpretations of the kukri not come with the two small blades/tools
@@bigbeargear7448 Yes, I’m sure the chuckmuck fills both rolls, sharpening and fire starting. I’ll have to ask my friend, but I’m sure the other one is for food preparation. Myth has it that it was used for removing the right ear of an enemy you had slain in battle. The notch has tradition in the British Army of slicing your own thumb, they would not be re-sheathed without drawing blood. I seem to remember being told that traditionally it was intended to split bamboo for cordage.
that's something I didn't knew I have a traditional style gorka kukri that I'm going to review I'll look into those facts/traditions thank you
@@bigbeargear7448 Update on the notch, I have been informed it’s not Bamboo, it’s the bark from a tree that I have absolutely no chance of saying or spelling, the bark is used for everything from paper to string.
I've heard many reasons for the notch they all sort of make sense
Sure do like your blades eh bruv!? I wish I could afford to have this as a hobby too! I'll live vicariously through your reviews! Cheers!
It's not a cheap life 😁 but I have been acquiring knifes for several years now and I borrow from Friends but I'm happy that you enjoy my content
I do you find this system working on bigger bush knives? Cheers, Jerbs
The biggest I've worked on was a 10" kitchen knife and that was already starting to put it length a little too hard I would say it's good for probably up to eight inch knives at the most
Big fan of this look! Gotta love Gerber eh? Jerbs.
Freshly pressed! Nicely. I really want to get myself a Swiss army knife just have to figure out which one?!?! Slick EDC Cheers, Jerbs.
It doesn't matter which you got you soon find that one is not enough I would recommend looking at the farmer I really love it for small Bushcraft backup knife
I did not know that it was actually mad of copper from last video. Bet it has an awesome feel.
Yes it does and it feels pretty awesome
Love that knife
THANKS
I have the khaki version of the same pouch...I use mine for a fire kit! I love it and the fact that its the same as the maxpedition at a fraction of the price! I instantly pulled the trigger on this one and a few other pouches! Thanks for sharing this bruv! Cheers, Jerbs .
I have the khaki one to i use it to store my electrics in my B.O.B.
@@bigbeargear7448 nicely! Ill make a video like yours about mine as well my chest rig thats attached to the b.o.b. I really enjoyed the video!
Cheers mate I would love to see it
@@bigbeargear7448 hey hey I loaded that fire kit if you wanted to see it now...cheers. Jerbs
