Have you ever driven a Toyota Mr2 Mk1a? If not it's definitely something you should consider.
This 1984 light nimble sports car brings back the retro feel from the 80s, all while being a fun solid summer car to drive around those twisties.
This particular example has undergone a full restoration and drives like it would have when it rolled out of a Japanese factory.
It's becoming a classic now for sure and the prices are only going one way.

At the time that was in market I was in selling Benz and my best friend was in BMW so we did comparisons all the time. It was a turning point for BMW where the products was probably best they ever was even tho I’m a Benz man you have to give BMW credit for such complete products 👍

I was only looking for a red but tripped over a 37k on the clock sherwood one with a warrenty and guarenteed rust free. Looks mint. Picking up soon. Good thing about buying these..... You willl not lose money on em.
You'll crap yourself when you learn you can remove the sunroof entirely and it has a latch in the frunk that locks it inside.

I am the 3rd owner of an '88 Mr2, have had it for 17 years. Love it to death and while it is no longer stock with mild mods to the undercarriage and wheels it still feels more like a true sports car compared to what the industry is passing off to us.

Nicely done both 21 and 36. Got the same problems as you for more than a decade now. 79’ e21 with m50b25, wish I did a m42 as it is silly fast and to front heavy. E28 with m50b25, love it to bits. Boston E36 coupe 328 with loads of bolt on mobs and a Dakar e36 318is class 2. Can’t sale any of them, even if I try and find a very good reason for it…

To me E36 coupe is the most beautiful and best ever built coupe! I am saving up to buy 318is coupe due to its fuel efficiency 👌🏼 deffo will keep it for future generations
The 318is are great cars, you can tune them to little rockets at the same time as them being great on fuel. Such revvy engines and fun on the limit! Sounds like a good investment
I had the same thought but the 318 does not have much better mpg, it is def not worth loosing smiles per gallon. I would recommend a later 328i so you can the zf5 and 2.8L
Wish mine had the zf box but can’t win them all! Mine does shocking mpg compared to a 318is but deffo worth the smiles per gallon😅
