Zero Electric Motorcycle
Просмотров 1592 года назад
Got a chance to test out the Zero electric motorcycle today. definitely different since there's no clutch and instant throttle response. Took some getting use to but we were able to make it through all the patterns without modifications to the patterns.

Set up a mini style training. This was 2:11 with a cone touch. Fastest clean was 2:13. Quite rusty but was nice to train like this again.

Our student Kevin Smith doing the night ride portion of the motorcycle class. We do this to test his focus. Did a great job and he made sure he let Jason know at the end!

Trying my luck on this Honda ST1300P through part of our basic course. Hit 2 cones but not too bad for the 3rd time riding it.

Crank Pattern. Clean Run. 2016 Lock and Lean Competition.
Im pretty sure Donnie's secret is that he's always leaving the clutch a bit engaged, and only releasing the rear brake when he needs to inch forward. Ive tried it and it's an extremely useful technique at low speed. Keep in mind that motorcycle clutches are oil cooled and very tough. They can take the abuse.
wahou, it must be tough !
Do they train with their uniform ? I though for the training it was more casual clothes? Thanks
US motor Officer uniform is sharp and nice !!!
Fantastic !!!!
I can barely keep my bike that steady with one foot on the ground.
That is truly amazing..
Nice skills, nice uniform !
Great job! That’s a tough pattern to run clean.
Chips
what are these police unit called? do they also do bike chase?
They are called motor officers. Most jurisdictions do not allow them to be involved in pursuits as a primary or secondary vehicle, but they will parallel.

Where is Kaitlin Riley Now? 3/17/2022? She has seem to disappeared from the internet 7~8 years ago. Such a Incredible rider.
brake or no brake??
You go Donnie!!!
Jon baker vs frank pouncherello
Love it
Epic
Amazing
Nice practice session 👌👍
I love ZERO Motorcycles !
How's the weight balance? I drove one on the street, so I didn't pull any of these tight cone patterns.
It's interesting for sure. It has a high center of gravity and a big lean angle which can prove to be awkward. The lack of a friction zone since there is no clutch proves to be difficult at first in the patters. More speed is needed and heavy brake as well. Took us about 90 minutes to do all the patterns without moving any cones out. You fall hard though if you hit a cone with your tire. So I could see the risk of injury being much greater.
Nice job!!!
Fantastic!! One hell of a rider!!!
Good work Dan!
👏👏👏👏👏
Wow! That’s a tough pattern! 👏
Donnie is a beast! He was my inspiration years ago to learn how to do the slow ride on my cruiser. I practice two-up with my wife and it really helps in the traffic jams of southern KKKalifornia.
Donnie Williams is a motorcycle demi god
Who? Never heard of him.
Brilliant 👌
Like airplanes, the slower you go, the faster you fall..
It's hard enough to learn to make the thing go, much less not make it go. Sheesh!
Is Officer Lopez the same guy who won a F-USA championship and was awarded a Medal of Valor for helping to terminate an active terror attack last year? If so, WELL DONE and THANK YOU!
Amazing. I have difficulty doing this pattern with both hands. He has exceptional clutch control
Good job!
That's really scary! I've had several MSF and cone-riding students grab their front brake and skid; some froze and didn't release. One in particular resulted in calling 911 and ambulances, police cars, et al came out. He hurt his upper arm when he fell. It doesn't matter how much one coaches to "release immediately and then reapply slowly", the awful feeling can result in a nasty crash when the rider freezes.
Not often you see Ben wolfe lose
Nice!
Well, that was a pleasure to watch. Great work, Kaitlin Riley.
You really make it look easy, Dan.
Dang you been practicing Dan?? Looked good, hate that I got stuck at work and had to miss it. Hopefully next year!
I'm gonna play this game this year. Where did you practice?
Great head turn and CTB control...
Could I possibly get a copy of this video?
If you go to your web browser and search for RUclips Downloader, you can download the video right from RUclips with the same quality as you see. I can send it too you but I don't know if the quality will be the same. Sometimes emails will cause the quality to be lower because of the file size.
Thank you for your help.
Great job, Gloria! Wish I could be there for the competition to support you.
Awesome run! So proud of you. Zoom zoom!
Really nice job, Jason. The Capitol is not an easy pattern . . . .but you make it look easy. Hope to see you in Ft Walton Beach.
Nice video!! Made me smile, BTW nice Jersey roll coming into HQ.
Nice job in such a short time. It must be nice to practice in short sleeve shirts. It is 25 deg here. It takes a lot of layers and is hard to turn your head and eyes far enough. LOL Good Job!
Hey where's the saddlebags????? J/K Like the new practice pad, looks a bit more roomy than the old place
