Sold my defender hd10 Max and the plan was to buy a Polaris xpedition 2 seater or Ranger 1500. I wanted something shorter in length to fit in the new Toyhauler with the Mav r and more capable then the defender Had been offroad. The plan was to buy a Polaris but we ended up leaving with a Yamaha Rmax4. The Local dealer was discounting old inventory OTD $16-19k plus 0% for 60month if you wanted to finance. The polaris was 36k otd and I just couldn’t wrap my head around that price parked as it was next to the other machine discounted. Be interesting to see what Your thoughts are on the Polaris over Time. 🍻

I had to remove mine 3 weeks into owning it and this is the way I had done it. Never looked it up or thought about the other way but this was is super easy

Great video! Who are you getting your axles from? Any better axles coming out that you know of?

It looks like if they would have machined out the extra material in the knuckle the axle would pull through, I don’t get why manufacturers don’t design the bearing housing slightly larger than the axle CV joint, I can only assume you tried to pull it through and in case you didn’t know for max length of the axle is when the lower radius rod is level to the ground not at full droop but to achieve this position you must compress the suspension

Just bought my '24 Mav R from a dealer yesterday so it's great to see these "how to" vids on these machines! I'll definitely be referencing your vids when I do upgrades and repairs!

Another great video I love watching you figure out the best way to do things lol. I have two Mav R both with the big turbos. But I run 32 blackbirds never had anything break knock on wood.

Stay stock, Think of it as a fusible link I'd rather break 6 axles versus one transmission. Mine is stock Rubber, Stock tune.used in Glamis,Johnson valley and San Bernardino mountains no issues yet. I drive hard

What is the easiest way to just drain a maverick r factory fuel tank? Can you pump it out of the filler neck with one of those battery transfer pumps from harbor freight? I just really need to drain fuel I have no reason to take the entire pump out. I’d rather not mess with the fuel float if I don’t have to.

Didn’t know about a drown mode, thanks, Mr.Hoover. Mine had about 35 km when I changed the oil for the first time recently (for storage, don’t want to use my R during winter). Of course, there was that nasty rattling sound for the first couple of seconds. BTW, oil was rather dirty for such a little mileage.

I updated my Screen to the new firmware and the GPS it’s supposed to work without the phone, on mine it doesn’t seem to work, were you able to get your GOS to work without the phone being connected?

Is this air filter dry maintenance-free or of an oiled design? Spare filter elements available?

I haven't needed to work on my engine yet but I will definitely be getting this done. One thing that drives me crazy about the Mav R is nobody has come out with door struts so the door stays open. If I don't see them soon, I will have to make them myself.
